So they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and that's why I've asked this question, did the dissapointment and heartache of your life actually make you stronger and a beter person or did they emotionally break you down?

So I'll give a personal example.

When I was 16 I fell in love for the first and last time, the guy had been my friend for over two years and he stood by me through and through... he was my night in shining armour that protected me from bullies and bitches, he was my best friend that I could talk to about anything and everything and he was just amazing in every way... even though he wasn't my type i genuinely fell for him... anyways we were in grade 10 and he became a leader.. big whoop suddenky this grade 8 girl started liking him and he told me about her... since I was shy i told him to go for it... they dated for two months and then she destroyed him by running after his friends and flirting with all types of guys... .. so they broke up and he was broken and i fixed him... I was there for him... I'd answer the phone at 2 in the morning when he wanted to talk and i even joined a sporty guys... like I stage after school to do sports with him.. that's how much I loved him so then I confessed and the day I confessed was the day he got back with his ex.

That genuinely hurt me and I cried for so long... he's still one of my best friends even though I loved him..

But the way this incident affected me was that it made me too scared to fall in love again, instead of making me stronger it broke me down and because it hurt so bad i don't want to feel it again ever! I refuse to give any guy the chance to get close to me.

So for me instead of making me stronger that incident really broke me down.

So does the saying "what doesn't kill you makes you stronget" actually make sense to you and your personal experiences?

We met off SM and he dm'd me and we became friends quick. After twoweeks of talking, he started liking me but I didn't feel the same way, but he said that he won't leave me because of that because he still wants me to be in his life even as a friend, Saying all this lovey dovey shit that I'm the perfect girl every guy wants and that I'm the only girl he's fell so strongely for. Throughout those months, he was an amazing friend who was there for me 24 7 and just made me feel extremely cared for. He knew I went through a lot of abandonment and heartbreak by people and so did he and he promised me he will never hurt me and will always be a good friend. The 8month, I started liking him back but then because of things, we couldn't be together. Decided to get over each other but he promised toalways be a great friend. I trusted him and was there for him 24 7. Plus, we met many times in person as well. We became best friends basically. Suddenly, everything changed. He got a long distant girlfriend, for who I gave him relationship advice and was always there toeverything was okay with him and he wasn't upset. They broke up and got back together 3times, during one of those he dated this other girl for only a week. He was just very despret. He would get with any as long as she wanted him. He began ignoring my messages, overall being an absolute dick. He didn't care about the two tragedies I went through that I toldhim about, he just left me on read when I poured my heart out about how upset I was about them and how much I needed a friend to talk to. He left me on read and then twodays later had the guts to call me and ask for advice about his relationship as if he didn't hurt my feelings two days ago. I vented to him on the phone and he just said I gotta go. We stopped talking, all his promises were lies. This friendship was totally one sided where I was giving my support, chasing after and caring but he didn't care.

I've been told twice that he likes me. Once from my best friend, and once from one of his friend.
I've always thought of him as a friend so I've never thought of liking him, or vice versa. I've known him for a while. He's my friend's childhood friend. So he would hang out with us a lot. He always bothered me about the little things. Once we had a movie day at school (where every classroom turns into a movie theater and you can go into any room you like) so I decided to just stay in the room I already was in. He comes up to me and asked me "are you staying here?' And i was like "yeah". Surprisingly enough no one wanted to chill in the room we were in so it ended up being just us and the teacher of that room. We ended up turning the movie off to play cards instead. It was just me and him, we talked, it was fun. He could've went into any room but yet instead he stayed with me.
Another situation was when me and my friend would just eat in a random hall and he would some how always end up "passing by". He would always stop to say hi to us make jokes here and there, then he would leave. One time after he left my friend looks at me and said "OMG he likes you!!! I saw it in his eyes!". At that time I thought to myself "No Way. We're friends, he doesn't like me, we're just close friends." And i just left it at that.
Fast forward last week, we were coming back from the library, me, my friend, him, and his friend. We were walking behind them, then all of a sudden his friend turns around and yells "Will you go out with Parker!" While laughing so I thought it was a joke and I said "what the hell no! Dumb ass keep walking".
Fast forward to today it hits me, OMFG HE LIKES ME!
But of course I want confirmation from GAG first. So what do you guys think? Does he like me?
