A year and a half ago, a guy and I dated but were more like friends, eventually we just knew we liked each other. We had one night in company and that made us distant since he wasn't looking for a relationship at the time and I was.

9 months later here we are texting again, he wondered if I had a boyfriend and when I'm coming around.

Honestly, would he stick around after so long if he just wanted to play games? Or could it be more?

I have been really close friends with this guy for a long time ( 10 years). If we have been busy, we both tend to draw back to each other after not talking for a while automatically. Since couple of years though, our conversation seems to become upsetting and we argue and stop talking to each other. Recently, we have resumed talking again. The convo is more long distant since he moved abroad for work. He first mentionned that he is just trying to change field and got the opportunity in another country. Mentionned he will be back in few months. I was saddened a bit and stated it to him. He assured me that it was just for 6months. He actually persuaded me to keep talking to him because he misses me. Later, he actually started to withdaw from messenging. So I didn't wrote him back. He then got upset that I stopped writting and I explained that there was no point if he wouldn't answer. Now that the days are coming closer to his arrival date, he said that he might not come back. He plans to find a girlfriend get married and stabilize which he wasn't able to do Here. I told him I had a feeling he would say this. He got upset when I later said he is stringing me along even though he has other plans. He then accused me of wanting to stop talking to him now. I told him to stop whinning and if he wants to talk he can still write to me. Couple of days later he sends me a message and a video. I was busy so I check it out the next day wrote him back we laughed. I then wrote him some more that day but no reply from him. I assumed he must have fallen asleep. I noticed he never replied after 2 days and wonder what was up. wrote to him jokingly " So you disappeared?" and made a crying face emoji (all jokingly). No answer. By the next day, I noticed he blocked me.

I wasn't that surprised with his passive-aggressive behaviour but it still got to me. Personnally, I'm done with him for life.
Did any of you went through something similar... how did you handle the aftermath of it?

I don't fuckin get this. I'm very confused about ALL of this. I need you guys to help me. 😩
So I met this guy over a year ago. Let's call him: Daniel. So Daniel and I liked each other but he was moving to another state and didn't want a long distant relationship. I understood completely but... I still had feelings for him but I didn't want to completely lose him from my life so I sucked it up and stayed friends with him. We hung out in June for a few days since I was in the area and it was so great. I was extremely happy when I was with him as he was with me. He made sure I was safe and okay everywhere we went. Well... Fast forwarding to July. We started talking on the phone every weekend. Which he hates talking on the phone by the way. He told me he wants to be single for the remainder of business school because he will not have the time for a relationship and he doesn't want any distractions.

When we talk on the phone he'll say shit like: "God, I miss you so much"
"I miss your hugs, they are amazing"
"You're amazing"
"I just wish you were next to me so I can hug you and feel you hug me back... But you're not"
"I miss hearing your voice"
"No one can replace you"
"I'm so attached to you"
"I want to make you happy"
"You have a cute laugh"
"I like your laugh"
Then when we talk about the opposite sex... I get jealous but I hide it because well I have no reason. We're just friends right? But when he gets jealous his tone will change, he will change the subject and he never admits it to the jealousy. He makes jokes that some guy will replace him...

Here is the confusing part!!!

He will ALSO say shit like:

"You're my best friend."
"You're my closest friend."
"I'm so lucky to have a friend like you."
When he asks for selfies of me he NEVER comments on them.
