Due to the declining amount of good people who refuse to let others taint their hearts, more and more people's psyche's are being harmed. Genuine, good natured people who do not use their gifts and talents for selfish gain are going extinct. Replacing them are selfish, inconsiderate, tactless people who tend to be overly self-absorbed to the point of not caring about others. They're EVERYWHERE!! D: Not trying to sound self-righteous, but damn it I know the difference between right and wrong. Point blank period. I see a lot of people who either have no moral compass at all or their moral compass is so out of whack that it's not even realistic for them to do the right thing. I honestly believe that these people are the primary cause of good people giving up and giving into bullsh*t.

Everybody gets hurt. It's apart of life. There are parts of your brain that were created SPECIFICALLY to feel pain. It doesn't mean you have to become some annoying a** closed off, paranoid person with baggage who's overly afraid of reliving their past. When people let someone else's baggage define them, it's going to cause drama in the future relationships no matter what and it's really unfair to good people who have no intention of putting you through the bullsh*t your ex did.

What are your thoughts on this topic? Do you agree or disagree? What are some ways good people can protect their psyches from the bullsh*t of people who can't seem to get themselves together?

I was dating this guy for about 4 months. I’m 20, he’s 19. Things were generally going very well. We became exclusive early on. He broke up with me about three weeks after officially becoming boyfriend-girlfriend. That was about a month and half ago. He said that he wanted to be friends, but that a relationship wasn’t desirable for him right now. That sounded fine at the time, but I realized that I still liked him as more than a friend. He also said that he was still attracted to me.

Anyway, we live near each other and have seen each other quite a bit since the breakup. We’ve spent the night.. and have been intimate. I feel like that muddied the waters a bit. Though we’ve broken up, he still acts like a boyfriend. He isn’t actively seeking dates and says that he still likes me. It’s like he partakes in the responsibilities of being a boyfriend, but does not like the title at all.

We had a conversation today. At this point, we had decided to be just friends (ie no sex), but to be open-minded to what the future may hold. I’m just wondering if people ever go from relationship to friends back to relationship. The pessimist in me says that if it didn’t work then, it probably never will… but life changes things, maybe it could work.
