Some backstory: So there's a girl who was an intern at the same company as me all summer. We had a big mutual group of interns that we ate lunch with every day, so I interacted with her plenty within the group. We know each other decently well. I am still working at the company this fall as an intern, but she quit for the fall and is coming back full time in the spring when she graduates. I will likely still be working there in the spring as well, so I think this is a factor. She works in HR and I am in a different department. She takes her job very seriously so even if she was interested, I don't think she would flirt at work. I've seen her a few times outside of work in the same mutual friend group (pool parties, birthdays), but we haven't had any time with just the two of us. At the last party (and the last time I saw her) about a week ago, I flirted with her pretty blatantly in multiple conversations and she didn't seem offput by it (e. g. didn't run away screaming or avoid me for the rest of the night), but she didn't return obvious positive signals. If she doesn't know I'm interested, then she reads signals about as poorly as I do. However, she is typically quite reserved and traditional, so I don't know if she would really flirt back around a group of people she knows? She could also just be wanting me to make a bigger move before she shows her hand?

To get to the question: Should I ask her out? and if so, how? All of our communication is through text outside of seeing her in person. Do I call her or text her?

More detail: She is 21 and a senior and I am a 20 year old Junior. She goes to a school about 45 minutes away from mine and is a soccer player up there. None of our mutual friends live in town, so there's not really a way I can get in the same room as her without asking her out in some fashion.

Disclaimer: I obviously overthink many things and read into some stuff too much. Not to mention I couldn't see girls signals if I had a microscope.

So, my girl suddenly went for lunch / dinner with her friend, saying that she had to get some items from him that he bought in England for her relatve. They talked about his ex and how they practiced martial arts with another couple. And the dude complained that his ex was a very jealous girl and would get mad at him for even talking to another girl. So here's the question she gave him:

Would you prefer a jealous girl that's obsessed with you or an extrovert which would hang around with other guys?

As I know her, she's the jealous type, on the lower end of the spectrum and that more or less likely merely insecure.

But then to me, its also a subtle statement that if I leave her for another, they will most likely be sleeping around with other guys.

And then she told me that they Used to be REALLY CLOSE FRIENDS but 'something' happened, (unsaid: they no longer are, but she kept the dinner idea from me till the last minute) and that he told her that he was bullied really badly in a certain type of school when he was young.

*she taught the same type of school and he went to VISIT her and STAYED in the CLASSROOM. he started to curse the students, teachers et al.

Then she got a SMS text message (not WhatsApp) from a number that she hasn't saved. They even spelt her name inccorrectly, and she does not recall she had talked to anyone about the certain museum the sender was talking about.

But then she was like, oh it should be A or B (another friend who's married but fancies her like crazy), quickly, search online for this museum, i'll tell him. But she has never told me to seach stuff in such a tone and was never that enthusiastic about people asking her stuff.

There's this girl I've known for 2 years, but I was friends with her the second year I knew her. We sometimes text a lot and we are great friends. I always thought she was attractive since the first time I saw her, but a year later I really had a crush on her. She eventually figured I had a crush so she asked me. I'm honest so I said "yes". Also, I said to her in the past she can tell me anything so maybe she was just doing that. Then she said, "I don't know why, but I just felt like I had to tell you." So I just played along saying how I felt bad for her. Then she said, "Do you still have a crush on me?" So at that point, I felt like she was saying, "Hey, I'm single now. Why aren't you asking me out right now?" But I just told her that I think she's attractive still so I guess that means I still like her. I have an Instagram and I stopped using it since school started. I finally started using it again and I noticed on different days I posted 5 posts total. On 4 of those days I she was first to like my posts and like them within seconds to a minute. She never used to be the first to like my posts and do it so quickly like that. Does she want me to ask her out? And is she liking my photos like that because she likes me? Please note that it's been 13 days since she texted me that.
