Am I'm too pathetic for any woman that I should stay out of the dating scene?

This was a while ago, but it is still on my mind... primarily because it was really traumatizing.

One of my guy friends (who is all about ambiguous sexual relationships) gives a girl my phone number, trying to be my wingman I guess. I didn't know her and he hardly knew her.

She texts me and naturally I'm confused, I thought it was a prank at first. But she wanted pictures of me and sent me a picture of herself, and she thought I was cute. She wanted to know if I wanted to hang out sometime, and since I thought she was cute too and I was looking for a girlfriend, I accepted.

We made a simple date, just going to one of the restaurants on campus (I was in college living on campus). We talked and ate, and she seemed fairly nice, I thought she was my kind of girl. We had some common interests and such.

Then she asked me if I wanted to come back to her room, with the very silly reason of "you should see the big mural on my wall!" and I said sure.

I came back with her, and she asked me if I wanted to watch a movie. I said sure, and she put on a zombie movie. Inevitably she snuggled up to me and held my hand, which I enjoyed, and then she started kissing me, which made me a little nervous but it wasn't bad.

Near the end of the movie she kept reaching for my pants, and I kept gently moving her hand away. She asked me why I didn't want that, and I said it was way too early. She seemed to accept, but then next time she was rejected she wondered if she was ugly or if I was gay. I said no, I just wanted to get to know her better. Again, she nodded.

Next time I came over she dragged me into bed and pressured me to touch her breasts and pussy, tried to get me to do oral, and wanted to take a shower with me. I ended up touching her in places, but refused the other things. I didn't really want to do any of it.

How much am I to blame for this? What's your opinion?
