my boyfriend (now ex) has been depressed and suicidal for a long time. He didn’t get to go to college with me because of money issues, and he’s been downward spiraling for a while. Last week he was telling me he loved me and needed me in order to get himself help. Then I️ get a call from his gangbanger (she is actually in a gang) new girlfriend (that was hidden from me) and now all of a sudden he wants me to leave him alone. It’s just confusing. He was never the guy that would cheat. It hasn’t been going on long, according to a reliable source. But anyway, the things I️ consider self destructive are
-his continued suicidal thoughts/attempts
-he cut off me and his best friends and will speak to no one
-he doesn’t sleep
-he abuses drugs and alcohol (this has been happening for a month or two)
-anxiety
-pushing me away
-he has no will to go to work
-doesn’t sleep
-he bleached his hair
-and he cheated (this is very out of character for him.:. Long story)
-this girl is 17 and he’s 19 and they now live together
-he no longer wants to apply to college when all he did before was complain that he was a failure without it

I’ve been with my boyfriend around 9 months now. We’ve had our problems, but he’s been depressed and suicidal for a few months now.
Recently, shit has hit the fan.
-he cut me, his best friends, and his parents out from his life
-he’s been abusing weed and alcohol
-one day he says he loves me and wants to work on us the next he says he doesn’t know what he wants
-he couldn’t sleep for about a week
-he dyed his hair and chopped most of it
-i found out he’s been cheating

the last is the most alarming, because there was a time when some guy tried to come in on me and he thought I️ would cheat on him because this guy is “better” and he cried. This is someone that hates cheating.

but his brother says he all of a sudden isn’t suicidal anymore since this past Sunday (when the girl called me from his phone)

I️ normally would never have any remorse for a cheater but I’m concerned this is happening because of depression

This guy and I were quite good friends for over half a year and always looked out for me like when I had got a boyfriend he messaged me and said who he was and said he better treat me good or he would hurt him and he was curious to who he was. A while later he moved away and everywhere on social media he's hanging out with another girl and supposedly sleeping with them and we stopped talking then. Every once and a while on social media I would ask a question such as reply for a like and he always replies to them sometimes one of the first people to reply. Also, one time out of no where he asks if I have a boyfriend yet and he's always curious if I had a boyfriend yet although if he liked me why did he decide to leave out of the blue and always hang out with so much girls and sleep with so much girls and only talk to me every once and a while to see how I am and stuff?
