>Basically, my girlfriend and I have not been together that long, but since we have we've talked about every day and there was like a genuine interest in talking to me; yes we've done all the sexual stuff and we really enjoy each others company.

> She was working 45 hour weeks last week and managed to cope but was always tired as a result, which is fair enough and I told her she should stop working so much!

> Sunday I Was near her workplace and she was like you should have come and visited me, would have made my day so much better! and she also called me to chat as she normally would!

> Tuesday is the same, practically driving me insane as I don't know the cause of why bare in mind she is working again and also starting a third job (Independent work - 2 hours) and her response to me is still cold.

> Wednesday: still cold; I get a reply as she cancels plans for me to meet her parents (raincheck) but has a completely valid reason! so I call her up (get a text saying, I'll call back in 30 minutes) and when she calls I ask if she's okay and everything, and I make her laugh and smile, and everything seems fine; we've both made different plans, she's seeing her best friend and I'm seeing mine instead. And when I ask about why the little replies she says "Everything is getting on top of me at the moment and I'm struggling to cope." I told her it's fine and I understand you need your space" and she says "have a good night, you" But it just seems to be only me she's blocking out, she's still in communication with her best friends etc..

> Thursday: Complete Radio Silence on my end, no attempt by her to contact me. She's meant to be seeing me next week on the Tuesday at my uni! - My friend asked her about it (they talk) and she said yeah she was!

I hate to see my girlfriend uncomfortable and in pain when she is on her period.
She also seems less happy and more easily angered towards me even if I don't do anything wrong. I try to remember that it's her pain talking and not her.
I can't feel or understand the pain she is feeling but is there any way I can make her more comfortable.

I have read that when a girl is on her period there is a list of things her boyfriend should do for her. Things like talking care of things like cooking and cleaning, giving her a massage to make her feel more comfortable, give her things like chocolate, buy her whatever she needs for her period, spend time with her watching a movie she likes, and let her you think she is beautiful, forgive her for what ever mean things she says.

But I have also read that the best thing to do is give her space and let her deal with the period on her own.

Which do you think is best to do, taking care of her, or giving her space?
