Search Results: meeting another guy in a relationship

I've recently started crushing in this guy though my friend pointed out that he may be interested a month ago. All of us are in the same preassigned project group.

He has been sending me mixed signals and I'm really shy to make the first move. The mixed signals:

1. He never initiates text conversations with me. He does talk to me in the group chat for quite some time (20-30mins non stop). In these occasions, he is clearly talking to me as no one else is replying.

2. My friends notice that he tends to tease me a lot. He takes screenshots of my text messages, asks me whether I like other guys, tries to put me in awkward situations with others. For example, he got me to play shoot, shag, marry with three guys he knows I dislike and took a screenshot of my response even though I told him not to before my reply. He also dared me to ask a gay guy out on a date.

3. One group mate pointed out that he is attentive to what I say and laughs at all my lame jokes. He looks up whenever I talk during group meetings even when I'm not talking to him. I didn't take notice initially. However when I tried observing, he didn't seem to be looking at me

4. He hasn't tried to make any physical contact with me

5. My group likes to make dirty jokes and I'm good at using innuendo. On a few occasions, he commented that I should only talk dirty but he doesn't seem to take issue with the rest doing so. I'm really puzzled by this...

I do think I'm inadequate compared to him because many girls find him cute whereas I'm a tomboy. I've never had a serious relationship while I think he has. He also seems to be a shy guy and he says that he likes to keep a low profile. He doesn't talk much: in my group of 7 people he only talks to me and another guy about non-work related stuff.

I need advice on whether he likes me and how I should move from here since we're both shy
