two years ago I had a class with this guy and he was super flirty and nervous around me; he would try and be next to me, when he was he'd be super fidgety, he used to sit facing me he never faced the front of the room, if I was talking to some guy he'd try and talk to that same guy. Anyway, I never saw him do this with other girls. Then the next year after that he came up to me randomly and asked if I was doing ok (like I was sick or something) and then said my car lights were on. He also continued to look at me and look away that year. And then I liked his friend and sent his friend a text but he completely blew me off. I later found out that the guy had been the one to start making fun of that conversation with his friend and I. And when he followed me one Instagram he commented the guys name on my picture. Yet, he's still looking at me, like he'll fix his hair when he sees me in the hallway sometimes look and then look away. I always catch him and he'll look away or I'll feel him glance at me. He still did that even when he was hooking up with this chick for a few weeks. But then he unfollowed me on Instagram? I don't get it if he was sort of interested wouldn't he still wanna see what I post? Why would he unfollow me when I've done nothing directly bad towards him?

He invites me out to things or over all the time. In fact I may be the first person he actually invites. But I frequently am not the only person and he generally has other people around (if they aren't he has to give me several excuses as to why it's only us and why I may be better to have around anyway). Even though we may be around other people, he frequently tried to get me away from the group or at least keep me around after everyone leaves so we can talk for a while. And while he doesn't seem to want to hang out just one on one, when it's just us hanging at one of our houses, it takes me at least 5-6 tries for me/him to leave, because he always starts up another conversation.
He also takes me around all his friends and family, but doesn't really invite any other girls with us.
Around people he generally prefers to sit next to me, and he sits with his knee touching me, frequently has his arm on me (like smooshed up against me, never around me), and often lays his head on my shoulder (but only for a moment, like when someone makes a joke at his expense or a bad play happens in the game). And he always finds ways to touch me, like holding my hand for a moment when I hand him something. But if it's just us, he will keep a lot of space and rarely gets close enough for either of us to make a move. He also spends a lot of time looking at me/blowing up the eye contact.
When he finds something he thinks I will like or will interest me, he blows up my phone. However on most days its radio silence from him.
I have tried to get him alone, let him know of things that interest me, touch him in ways that communicate my interest, yet he never makes a move. The most I get is a random high five as a goodbye.
If I mention another guy in my life, or even just a celebrity he gets super defensive, jealous and pouts. But I've given him two years to make a move and while I wouldn't mind making one I don't want him to get uncomfortable.
