Okay so yesterday I got a postcard for Mom and she said that she may be in town sometime this month. I don't know if I should be excited or not because I don't know. We seem to see things a lot differently. My brother's especially my younger older brother are not pleased with it. They told me not to get my hopes up too quickly because she might not come or end up not showing up. Nick my younger older brother doesn't seem to care or isn't interested. He was like, "Who the hell cares? I'm going to be late for my date with my girl." Everytime I mention mom he always seems to interrupt or cut me off. He just doesn't like her and he's not even interested. He hates her with the passion because she abandoned us and dumped us. I mean I understand that too and we're all angry at her but don't you think you should give her a chance. My oldest brother told me that I can't make him like her or be interested because he has the right to how he feels. He's not even sure if he wants to see her. Maybe Mom wants to reconnect with us again cuz I really want to connect with my mom so bad and have a mother. I showed my dad the postcard and he told me that I shouldn't believe her at all because she might be lying and she'll just abandoned us again. He keeps reminding me to not get my hopes up cuz I'm going to end up disappointed. I mean yes when I visited Mom in England when I wanted to live with her, she seemed happy to see me but towards the middle of the week, she seems very irritated when I'm around, she stood me up for dinner and I waited for her for 3 hours and she told me the real truth why they left the family which I don't want to go into details. I mean she wanted to have her own life. I mean she stood me up before and broke promises. She never even made it to any of my birthdays are sent us cards or never called us on our birthdays. I'm excited to see my mommy but should I?

I'm not even going to sugarcoat how I feel. Ever since I was about 9 years old I hate Mother's Day with a passion because my mom left us because she wanted to have a life of her own and she didn't want to deal with me because I have a disability (Autism). I didn't have much of a mother growing up. I would look at my friend's with their mothers with envy and jealously. I would pretend that their moms were mine to fill that empty hole in my heart. I remember most of my classmates would make gifts for their mothers and I was the only one that didn't get to make one for my mom and I will sit there and being very sad and jealous. Like in third grade my teacher saw me and she knew I didn't have my mother around and she didn't say anything to me so she kept helping the other kids. She told me this is Mother's Day and I should sit this one out because my mom isn't really in my life. When I send my mom gifts she never once called and said thank you to me. My brothers never send her anything because they said she doesn't deserve it and said I need to stop. My youngest older brother said bluntly, "Why bother sending her Mother's Day gifts when SHE was the one the dumped us and left us and dad heartbroken? She is no mother to us. She is our mother but not our MOM. Let go already and move on! We have our aunts. Give your gifts to our aunt. She has been more of a mother to us then our cowardly, selfish, flaky mother. Stop pushing her away and she isn't going ANYWHERE. She loves us so much and she especially loves you to death." Can anybody relate to me?
I just can't let go of my mom. I need her but she keeps pushing me away and break promises.

He dumped me out of the blue about a month ago. Obviously I was hurt and confused. During the breakup, he kept saying how he really really wants to be friends. We haven't had any contact since that night, except when I dropped off his stuff I left a letter explaining my confusion in his sciency terms "when something at work doesn't work you wouldn't throw it away, you'd inquire, analyze, collaborate" etc. The end of the letter was a P. S. saying I'm not ready to be friends, but I'd be open to chat when we're both ready for some open and honest communication.

He received that 2 weeks ago... I'm wondering if he interpreted the letter as I'll be in touch with him? I'm out of town for another week, but I really do want to sit down and chat with him when I'm back. Should I text him when I'm back? If so, what should I say?

His reason for dumping me was "I just never developed the feelings I thought I would" which I think is total bullshit. He's been saying I love you for months and months. The timing of the breakup was when he was super stressed with family and work, and I want to see if... now that things have settled down he would reconsider being together.

For me there’s no need to be in contact everyday with the person to have the same meaningless chats over and over everyday. My friend got dumped because she was texting her boyfriend every hour of the day just saying pointless stuff. I told her maybe she should give him space but she said it’s not a relationship if you’re not constantly in contact.

If I don’t text my boyfriend for 2 days etc it doesn’t mean I don’t love him during those 2 days I think about him but also I’m loving having my space.

A lot of people just seem so clingy and desperate to stay in contact. I think if you’re more relaxed about things the relationship lasts longer. What are your thoughts?

It seems like the Trump Trade War is really starting to hurt the economy. Is it time to dump Trump?

Donald has been a huge disaster in every way besides the economy, which now seems to be falling apart because of his idiotic trade war. But even before this crash, Trump has not been very good for the stock market when compared to recent American Presidents.

Sadly, it appears that buffoonery isn't a great quality to have in a president :(
