Search Results: somebody for everyone

This just popped into my head today.

I know that I'm naturally an empathetic person (but not clingy or a sucker), especially towards the female gender. Several users on this site can probably attest to this.

I don't like to hear about females being sad or crying, because I genuinely care about females and I don't want a girl to be sad, especially if I know her at least semi-personally. :(

However, I hear dudes in real life, as well as MANY on this site, that seriously DON'T care about the female gender on that emotional level as I seem to be.

I'm not talking about clingy, just simple care about a female being in an emotional down.

I hear things like "she probably dated some douchebag and it's her problem", or "she was probably being irrational about something dumb", or "she's just being a crazy bitch",

or my PERSONAL FAVORITE: "she's just crying out for attention and she's being an attention whore".

Hearing that stuff is disheartening sometimes because how is somebody that is so bitter and angry about somebody based on their gender alone...supposed to ATTRACT someone of that same gender?

Sounds like a self-induced problem to me for those guys. :-X

So the question is...guys, do you genuinely empathize for a female when she's feeling emotionally down, or do you on average not care?
