Search Results: what types of flirting is there

So I know this guy, and he genuinely seems to like me, but I'm SUPER shy. Literally it's a thing, everyone who knows me describes me exactly like this "Shy, and quiet, but one of the sweetest people I know". Like I've heard that from just about everyone, whether they tell me it to my face, or are describing me to someone else and I'm standing right there, or if I over hear them talking to someone about me. (It has in fact happened, no one ever notices when I'm standing like right there, it's happened a lot.)

And like I get almost freaked out when people just say "hi" to me if I don't really know them, just because I don't expect it, and my mind automatically just panics.

Anyway, there is this guy and he is pretty much my complete opposite in every possible way. Like he's SUPER friendly, and like he's the guy who makes sure to know everyone's name. But he flirts with me a lot, and I've noticed that he doesn't flirt with the other girls. And I'm the only girl he ever actually like compliments. (Which he is very boisterous about, we do work together and I was going back to work, and he was with his friends, and he very loudly made some interesting comments. Not inappropriate ones, but I don't really wanna go into detail about what he said.)
And he's also a very good conversationalist, where as I just can't do it. I can ask basic questions if I absolutely HAVE to like "How are you?" and stuff, but after that it just falls into like this horrible awkward silence. He never lets that happen in his conversations.

I find myself blushing CONSTANTLY around him. And he makes me laugh, even at stupid things. And he seems happy when he's made ME happy, but I don't really think I'm capable of just throwing myself out there the way he does to me, so I just don't know if I should keep this flirting going until it grows to more or what.

Anyway, do you gagers think that these two personality types could mix well together, or should I just give up now?

I stayed in the library with him after school, and there was only us two on the table. After I told him I had to leave, he looked sad and was like "aww" , "I'll miss you" with a laugh. Why did he say he'll miss me? We're just friends?

(Btw he is the type of guy that always hangs out with girls, so it might be hard to determine if he said that to be friendly or maybe a bit more than that. He isn't the type that's the big flirt at school and talks to every girl, but the type that hangs in girl friend groups, and most of his friends are females.)
