So with the growing of female independence they have to rely less on men and marriage to support them financially. Men up to this point needed to be a provider for their partner and family. In order to do this they needed to get a good job to make money to support their family. This also ment they needed to have good social skills in order to succee in getting a job and to maintaining that job.

Once they had that job and were making money they would be able to provide for a family. This in turn would make them much more desirable to women for a relationship. So there was a direct correlation to having a career and getting a family. This gave men more of a drive or motivation to have a successful career if they ever wished to have a family.

With women no longer being dependant on men financially they have a less need for this. So in turn men having a successful career is less needed to them. Also from a man's point of view being a successful career man doesn't necessarily help you with finding a partner. Sure it won't hurt your chances but it definitely isn't needed like it was before. So just because you have a career doesn't mean you will get a wife or family. So there is less of a drive or motivation there since there is less of a correlation between having a career and getting a family. This is why you see more men now days being less career driven and all around lazier.

So do you think that in this way women's independence has made men more lazy in their everyday life? Since they don't need to be as driven anymore since it doesn't really effect their chances as much as it once did. Or do you think it has to do with something else?

So, the strangest thing happened to me, earlier. I was talking with this 20 year old chick I just met, and she was insulting me and saying she thought I was weak, so it was pissing me off. Mainly because she's just young and naive, but she was attacking me based off of one little thing, and she was just wrong and ignorant and didn't know a thing about me.

I controlled myself for awhile, but then she said more stupid naive young person stuff, and I couldn't take it anynore. I lost my cool and said, "God, you're so fucking naive." And after that, she got all glowy eyed and started getting closer to me and was just obviously interested in me, whereas, she had been matter-of-fact before. She said, "You wanna talk about it more?" In this eager voice. It was fuckin' weird. I literally showed resentment and anger at her, and suddenly she's turned on.

Is... is that how it is? Young women like men to be assholes to them, and older women like men to not be assholes? Or do older women like assholes too?
