I ask this because when it comes to Saints Row vs Grand Theft Auto, the answers are always extremely polarized. So, which do you enjoy? Saints Row or GTA?

I enjoy Saints Row far, far more. In fact, I fucking love Saints Row.

~It's funny. The humor is unashamedly brash, perverted, violent and crass. Saints Row makes no attempts to hide its depravity and low-brow humor. The jokes in Grand Theft Auto are flat, obscure references that only make me laugh every once in a while during an extended session. While playing Saints Row, I laughed constantly.

~It never pretends to be something it isn't. Saints Row is here for one thing, and one thing only: To let you have fun. The moment you put the game in, you are set loose in a city with a giant purple penis as a weapon in Saints Row: The Third, and you take over an island prison in SR2, and shoot down a fucking helicopter in the same sequence. You can make your enemies vomit by throwing a fart-in-a-jar at them, and proceed to execute them by sliding on their body like a skateboard. In GTA, they have you operate a crane and go through every meticulous detail of a heist that lasts 15 minutes.

~You can customize your characters. There are over 500 items that you can buy, collect, unlock and edit to make your character unique, including voice and extensive body options. In GTA, you are limited to what they let you have at the get-go, and the lame clothing in stores. At least SR lets you be a vampire bulldog astronaut with a laser gun.

~It's like an RPG. Saints Row lets you upgrade your stats and abilities, and has multiple endings. You can't do this in GTA. Upgrading gives you a sense of accomplishment and progression. And the multiple endings gives it replayability and forces you to make different choices along the way. Again, you can't do this in GTA.

~It's more fun. In the end, Saints Row provided me so much more to have fun with. GTA may be the king, but not to me.
