We've known each other since we were 6 and now we're 16. We've both been in relationships before but with other people. He's my best guy friend, and we talk to each other about almost everything. I've been dealing with a lot of family issues recently and he's been by my side, always making sure I'm okay.

The thing about our relationship that can look odd in the eyes of other people is that we're slightly more physical that other guy-girl best friends. We hug a lot, he puts his arm around me a lot, and some take this as flirting. But that's just how we are with our close friends.

I went over to his place today, we Haven't seen each other for over a week. I had never been to his house before just because his parents make wild assumptions when he brings girls home. We started of talking a bit, and then we started to play games on Xbox. After a bit of that, he said we should watch a movie. During the movie we cuddled but for me that wasn't out of the ordinary at all. Then he slowly started to run his fingers through my hair. He kissed my head a couple of times. We would occasionally laugh at funny parts and when I looked up at him he had a look on his face I had never really seen before. I avoided facing him after that because I didn't want to kiss him if he tried.

When I had to leave he kept holding on to me . After a little bit of laughing and struggling, I broke free but he pulled me down onto him. He put his lips on my neck and I panicked so I quickly got up. He didn't seem to notice.

So what I want to know is, does he think of me as more than a friend or is he just horny? He's never done anything more than hug me before today so I'm quite confused.

My guy friend liked me some time ago, I didn't realize it, but he never asked me out. I finally figured it out one night when he tried to kiss me, I wasn't sure if he was just trying to hook up with me or if he actually liked me so I backed away at that point. He called me a tease. I was super confused, turns out, he actually liked me.

I eventually started to like him back... some time later we started kind of dating. We never really actually kissed but we stayed up sundown to sunrise together talking, telling stories, giving massages, cuddling etc. a few weeks later he told me that he just wanted me and that he never liked me all along. I was completely crushed. He said it was subconscious revenge for not liking him several years ago. He then proceeded to be continually rude to me, even in groups. Several months later he told me that he thought we'd grown apart and that he had just used me because he wanted a girlfriend and he felt bad about himself at the time.

I told him we had to go our separate ways... then a few weeks later (after not speaking) he begged for me to be in his life again. I figured I would give it a try, but then every time we talked he was always too busy and the fact I wasn't right in front of him made the problem seem invisible. he then told me now wasn't the right time for us to be friends, he couldn't give me what I needed.

Several weeks have passed since then and I've given it a lot of thought. Does any of this really matter? I think very highly of myself and I don't think I should have to put up with a friend like that, but at the time.. so much time has passed (2 years since this started!) and I just kind of don't care anymore. Can't we just be friends like we were? Is that unfair to me? He hasn't changed at all, but I am definitely more sensitive to his mistakes. He's pretty controlling and has an opinion about pretty much everything. Idk, I just want to hang out and have fun and not argue anymore. Is that possible? Or should I just let this guy go?

I'll try to keep this as brief as possible

1. he liked me in high school, we became best friends

2. we dated for 2 weeks, I was afraid to hurt the friendship, left him...

3. 5 years later he started acting like he liked me again

4. he tried to kiss me, I wasn't sure if he liked me or just wanted me so I backed away, he called me a "tease"

5. we talked a lot, I started to like him

6. over the following summer we stayed up all night talking, telling stories, watching the sun rise, giving each other massages, cuddling

7. I went back to school, he told me he just pretended to like me, he had just wanted me and it was subconscious revenge for not liking him in high school

8. he said we'd grown apart and that he just used me to bring himself up when he wanted a girlfriend, felt bad about himself

9. I told him we had to go our separate ways and I felt disrespected

10. now he keeps telling me how much he messed up, loves me, wants me in his life, that I'm a great friend etc

11. he hasn't really changed... (maybe a bit?) my friends say he's no different towards me than before. we argue about little things now. I feel angry when I look at him, but I haven't had a chance to talk to him because we're both really busy

12. I grew up, my expectations changed in what I want in a friend, he lied to me... I can't trust him, but I don't know what to do!

13. what should I do? everyone knows he's trying, EXCEPT me. I guess I am that mad at him. I feel betrayed

14. keep the friendship? let it die? let him keep trying? keep talking to him?
