My friend was fired a year go from his job as a police officer after he was caught in a drug sting in his apartment complex where he also worked when he was off duty as apartment security in exchange for free rent. He took to social media recently proclaiming that so many people had ditched him as a friend, no longer wanting him to baby sit their kids, and that all these people were basically casting stones at him and not offering forgiveness to him. He said he was done with apologizing and hypocrisy.

This sort of ruffled my feathers, and I asked him if he thought twice about the people he had arrested in 8 years time for the same offenses. Did he offer them his pity as he was arresting them, or offer them his forgiveness, or let them go for doing the same exact thing. That I said, was true hypocrisy, because he is only upset now, of course, because he is the one now living it and having to deal with the consequences which suck, but he chose the path he did, and now must live with the outcome.
