Does he like me, or am I just going Insane? Or should I back off? So there is guy I like, a lot. He's really smart, into IT, plays the saxophone, and really shy and un-popular. I've had a crush on him for about two years and I told him about 4 months ago and he said he liked me back. We were math partners and pretty good friends. Then one day he kind of just disappeared. I try contacting him ever once and a while, and he either ignores me or tells me to be quiet. I've tried getting over him and I just can't. What should I do? Does he like me? What should I say to him?

There are 2 guys in my life currently who I do NOT understand.

Guy #1, in person, acts VERY much like he has a crush on me. He either starts showing off or gets very quiet and nervous the moment he notices that I entered the room. Always one extreme or the other, usually getting shy and nervous, considering around his friends he's very outgoing and chatty. He hovers near me and you can sense that he wants to say something, but for whatever reason, he usually doesn't. He looks at me constantly from across the room, but when he's close to me he has trouble with eye contact and tends to look at the ground. Initiated first meeting by complimenting me and shaking my hand and it definitely seemed like he'd rehearsed it a lot beforehand. Stumbles on his words when talking to me, and others tell me his voice changes slightly and he looks at me differently.

BUT, he seems to avoid me when his friends are nearby, and if I contact him through the internet, he denies my friend request and my emails seem to be purposely ignored. But the next time I see him in person, he'll do a double take, look at me a lot, sit near me, and if I say hi to him he gets a really big, genuine, cute smile. Huh?

Guy #2 basically doesn't talk to me at all, seems generally awkward around me (or just women in general, maybe), doesn't look at me much unless I'm near him. I always sort of felt like he thought I was pretty or something by the way he looked at me, but there was never anything else that resembled crush behavior. Recently I found out that he apparently had quite a strong crush on me. Because he asked and found out that I don't have any feelings for him, immediately started avoiding me and then unfriended me on Facebook. Which is very unlike him.

So basically, I don't know what to think. One guy acts like he has a crush on me and then acts like he doesn't. The other does NOT act like he does, but apparently he does... anyone have any thoughts on what'

Details:
I started this school 3 years ago and i was in his classes. I noticed he was kind of an outcast and got bullied. Bullying him was commonplace it seemed but it was never physical, usually verbal. I was never rude to him and if he spoke to me I would talk to him like anyone else.
One day my friend refused to sit on a chair after he sat on it. He could hear that she didn't want to sit on his seat and offered to get her a new chair. That is when I jumped in and told him not to and I shouted at my friend for being so rude. I forced her into the chair lol, she felt bad after she new he heard her. ANYWAY, I THINK THIS ACT OF KINDNESS IS WHAT COULD HAVE TRIGGERED HIS CRUSH, but obviously I don't know that for a fact. All I know is everything got weird from here.
The first time I found out he liked me was when my friend told me. I honestly thought it was cute and nice. But then she told me that he said he liked the way I walked? I don't really understand that? Explain if you know what that connotes please or if it's even a normal compliment to give. This all occurred within the first few months. I eventually told him I don't like him back because I don't want to waste his time obviously, but I did it in a nice way. He backed off for like a week. It's been 3 years and he follows me everywhere. My friends and people around me find it uncomfortable as do I.
