I know I'm just a teen and whatever, but I really, really like this guy. He's mature and polite and fun and creative and has a weird but captivating sense of humor. He's extremely morally sound and is devoted to his religion but not in a disgusting, overbearing kind of way. He does well in school and is a great role model for me and others. I could go on and on about how wonderful he is and I'm not totally delusional to think that he's perfect because I've seen his temper once or twice and I know he can be selfish from time to time, but not often. I just feel very strongly about him and I think about him nonstop.

I want so badly to tell him how I feel. It's so hard to keep it in sometimes and I have a feeling he has a vague idea that I like him at least a little bit, so there's that. But at the same time, he's told me that he doesn't enter relationships where him and his partner are not on equal footing in their Christian walk, nor does he participate in superfluous or superficial relationships, and of course he has to want to be with the person as well.
So, we joke sometimes, like if he says something that I think is absolutely adorable I tell him I hate him in that playful, flirty manner and he answers with, "Stop lying to yourself," or something of the like in the same tone.
But to digress and stop telling you my entire emotional story, I just want to figure out the best way to explain to him how I feel--if I should even tell him--without making a huge fool of myself and not pressuring him into answering me in my favor or any of that kind of stuff. Can anyone help me or give me any advice.

I am very smart and in all top classes doing Advanced Math and Chem... but when it comes to humor or just everyday situations I don't understand certain things that others find simple and I get jokes hours later.

My friends describe me as the smartest and dumbest person they know at the same time. I just want to know if this is really unattractive because I really hate myself for it and end up pretending that I understand things when that's not really helping
