To sum it up i met a girl from a dating site, a lot has happened, and right now she wants to be single while she gets professional help for her problems. She also went out of her way to hand me a receipt of a crisis center she went to, I don't know if that means anything too

So after finally meeting up with her (note: she told me she wants to be single before i met her) we hung out, and we went to a bar, and she invited her best friend to come hang with us (shes a girl)

the next day, to be polite, i added that best friend on fb

this girl im talking to i met online, she said to me "Wow, you're just like all my exes. adding her to fb the next day. that hurts"

BUT she just told me she wants to be single while she gets help... so therefore why does she care?

So to sum it up:

- I met this amazing girl online, a lot has happened, and right now she doesn't wanna date because she is getting professional help for her problems (she actually went out of her way to hand me a receipt of a place she went to). Again, she initially liked me, but right now needs time to herself

- I did notice however, she is active on the dating site we met on. when i asked her about this, she wasn't defensive, she simply said "Because i like to just talk to people, and find other people to play online with" (she's an online gamer, like me)

That just sounds weird to me, because how do i know if she's still on the look out or not (cause its a dating website)? and its a DATING site, guys will hit on her. what if she finds someone she ends up liking more then me?

She's been totally open and honest with me, so i suppose all i can do is trust her word, but still im skeptical :(

I do recall asking her, a week after that above convo (asking her why she's still on there), if she's actually met/flirted with anyone off there and she assured me she's not/hasnt

i'm kinda thinking of making a fake profile to message her and ask "what she's looking for" but i feel that would continue to make me unnecessarily paranoid

Summary:
-Met a girl online 2 weeks ago. We hit it off amazing
-Later on into our "Dating", her severe depression starts acting up, causing her to react extremely strange to little stuff
-She told me she wants to stay single for awhile untill she feels she's stable. She is getting professional help and support
-She is doing much better, and im confused about her interest in me. She doesn't flirt back, but doesn't reject me either. So I decided to ask her whats up, after a good amount of time and progress has been made with her recovery

Me: I'm curious about something. it's been literally a month since I've asked this and you're doing so much better and seem way more stable (cause she said she's not stable for a relationship). You're doing great! I just wanna know how you feel about me and whether you'd like to give dating a shot when you're completely ready. You know i only want you and am literally not attracted to any other girl

Her: …

Me: I have no problem waiting and ill help as much as I can, i'm just asking if you'd like to give things a shot again when you're completely ready. That's all. You're doing so much better so I figured i'd ask

Her: Do you keep forgetting that i'm sick? (alcoholism is a disease after all)

Me: No, but I do know you're doing a lot better and i'd be glad to continue helping you. You've changed drastically within the past 2 weeks and it's amazing honestly

Her: yeah but a relationship could ruin everything im working so hard for right now

Me: I understand. I was just thinking we could date and I could continue to help you. It would be a double win for you. You get help and support from a bf, and love from a bf. Thats just my pov honestly. I'm not going to push you obviously, I just thought dating would be beneficial. I accept you for who you are, so dont think us dating now would inconvenience me

Her: no because it could destroy me

Me: I suppose it could worst case scenario, but i see things positive

Long story short:
-Met a girl online, we hit it off great. she really likes me. a little later into our "relationship" she starts to act irrational and she causes a lot of drama out of little stuff
-She admits to me she has severe depression and an alcohol problem, hence her random outbursts of anger. she IS getting help right now
-She likes me (gets mad when i do stuff that a single guy CAN do, and refer to point below) but wants to stay single for now due to her problems
-She doesn't reject me/ignores me/goes off topic whenever i text her "etcetc if you want me to move on, tell me etcetc"

BUT
-She says i make her uncomfortable/feel awkward with my feelings for her

I dont get why tho? I recall asking her why once, and she said "Because im not trying to develop feelings for anyone right now". I dont get the logic in that. If she's sick and getting help, why can't she also have a bf too?

Can anyone explain whats going on in her head and what do i do? whenever i ask her how she feels about us dating, she always says "idk" as well. i asked her "are you just hesitent to say a simple no?" and she assures me she's not

Another thing:
in the past she told me she wants to be "friends for now" but now she says "single for awhile". is that something to be concerned about? or not really?

Can someone explain this to me please? I am extremely baffled. Please note I met this girl off a dating site and she is extremely into me. She out right said so and shows it! These events are not in chronological order

Signs she has a bf:
-When I first met her on a dating website, i heard through a mutual friend who recognized her, that she has a bf. I asked the girl this, she said no
- I was bored one day and texted her number via a texting app and said "hey do you have a bf?" and she said "who is this? and yes"
- She told me she put her # online to get support for her problems. I took advantage of this and texted her pretending to be one of her supportive, new, online chat buddies. I asked her how her relationships have been affected and if she's in one, she said she's been in one for 2 years. (I FOUND THIS OUT 3 DAYS AGO) When I asked why she was on a dating website she said "We took a break"

Signs she doesn't have a bf:
-Again, me asking her, as well as a different mutual real life friend, asking her. She said no
-She got offended and insecure that i messaged her flirty best friend, asking her an innocent question
-Shes out right flirted with me and told me she's looking for something long term
-We got into an argument one time and she threatened to go date one of her friends, as well as reactivate her okcupid account ( a month ago)
-When I ask her about dating, she goes "im extremely depressed and going through alot, i wanna be single for awhile"

As you can see, i "Creeped" and found out she might have a boyfriend. How do i get that info out of her? I need to know the truth! she's telling strangers (anonymous me) one thing, and me something completely different!

The problem with the profile I found is she is located right at 150 miles away. She list 75 miles as the farthest away she wants to be contacted from. We match in personality, lifestyle, and are even close to each other in terms of physical attractiveness (in what is a pretty general sense I can't account for personal preferences.) I have dated online for years and never found this close of a match profile wise.

Should I try to contact her? Also I can't contact her with my profile, without changing my location. And if so should I immediately point out that I am a little farther away than expected (this is the way I am leaning because I don't like the idea of trying to start a relationship with anything that can be considered deceptive.) Or try to build a rapport first and then tell her. Hoping that between the initial contact and the first 3-4 real conversations she doesn't ask where I'm from. Or how I like living in whatever city I put on the profile to get inside the 75 mile range. I truly understand the 75 mile range, I used to have the same restriction. However I live in a small town and realized I am on online dating because the person I am looking for isn't going to be two blocks over. Which is why I even consider this as an excusable thing to do. We are obviously on this site because we aren't finding what we are looking for where we are.

I understand long distance isn't good unless the plan is to become short distance within a time frame we each feel comfortable dealing with. This I feel if handled with communication, and honesty won't be a problem.

Will someone please help me figure out if contacting her is wrong to do? Or if any girls out there would feel deceived or immediately turned off by this? And potential good match be danged. I do not want to disregard the information on her profile, but I do not want to miss with someone it seems I match so well with and really aren't that much farther from. Thank you in advance.
