Guy1 has been a friend for 7 years I met him though my brother. He is funny smart and a great guy we both had feelings years ago but that didn't last long he stoped talking to me for 2 years with out a goodbye he met a girl and had a baby. They broke up almost immediately after the birth. we started talking once again.
After a year we started seeing eachother. Nothing serious because he has a lot going on. We have been seeing eachother for 6 month and nothing has changed and I'm starting to think it never will. He says he doesn't want this right now and he doesn't know if and when he will. He's been very stand off since our conversation he's been ditching me or canceling plans last minute it's starting to makes me feel as if I'm not enough for him again or like I shouldn't be trying anymore. He was always that one person I wanted but couldn't ever have.

Guy2 has been a friend for 2year I met him at a car meet we instantly hit it off and became the best of friends. I can always rely on him and I know he'll be there we talked almost everyday since we have met. We both been going through some hard times so we went for a drive to talk about stuff. He's had a lot of family problems and I'm the only person he can talk to. when I explained to him what has been going on and how I've been feeling he said I was worth so much more then that and deserve someone that values me. I've never had something so kind said to me. The next day I woke up to a message asking me to go out to dinner with him. I told him I would have to think about it.

Here's my issue
I don't know if I should give up with guy one.
Even though he had hurt me in the past. I've never given up on anyone. I pray that he will realize what he can have. But I fear he never will. When he found out I was asked on a date he was angry I would even think about it. Am I horrible for wanted to be respected and loved to have one to call my own.
(I've never had a non-exclusive relationship before. never cared for two people)

My boyfriend and I broke up about 3 months ago. The reason was very complicated, however we both loved each other.

After the break up we didn’t talk or text or about 4 days

But we just couldn’t resist talking to each other so we agreed to be friends.

Our “friends” means this:
We still call each other baby/babe
We talk, text, have lunch, watch movie and sometimes have sex
And we tell each other “ I love you”s

Sounds like we are friends with benefits but there’s love to it.

Also he told me he would be jealous if I went out with guy, and I told him likewise. I would be jealous if he went out.

Nothing has really changed when I compare us right now, to back when we were dating.

Has anyone go though this dating after breakup phase?

If so, any advices?

My ex broke things off while he was on vacation. He texted said we need to talk then called & said that text was a “slip”. He said he wasn’t feeling it anymore & things weren’t progressing. After asking why, he said “you wanna know the truth? I never developed feelings for you since day 1.” So for 6 months he never developed feelings. The convo ended abruptly, but instead of calling back or seeing me in person... he ghosted me.

when we dated, everything was too perfect. We clicked like it was meant to be. We ignored the 10 year gap because it felt like we were meant to be. He wrote me paragraphs how he’s crazy about me, cares about me to the moon and back, how I’ll be his wife, this and that. He spent $400 on flowers for Vday- basically the way he acted & things he said, made me build fantasies about the future of us. He got a new house and I decorated it all. He introduced me to his entire family, his close friends and their families. He called me his fiancé. Literally eveything was going perfect and he always told me he’s going to fight for me and stay by my side no matter what happens because we are meant to be and no other man will ever have me. From all the good morning baby texts to goodnight baby texts to Random i miss you and I’m thinking about you texts to other texts and convos, I was happy and assured he was the one according to how he acted with me.

We had arguments but resolved them and never stayed mad. There were red flags though. he was emotionally and verbally abusive but was blinded by how much I fell for him. He told me things any woman would be upset about but i ignored. I thought I was overthinking or he gave an explanation. He slowly stopped to care, he didn’t compliment me, made me feel I wasn’t good enough for him. The make outs, touching, hugging stopped. He was always on his phone. I became cold towards him due to his behavior because he was acting cold & rude with me.
