I’ve been complimented most of my life. Not only including family members. Men and women that are strangers, acquaintances and friends. Personally, I don’t think I’m good looking. Cute at most. I’m told I’m curvy and have a nice figure. But I’m 23 and only have had one short term relationship. Never had a boyfriend in high school. Guys didn’t give me the time of day and that really has affected my self esteem. Only attention I got were from guys that I wouldn’t pursue. Why am I so unlucky in love?

Hear me out. I feel as if there is a personality flaw or I’m simply just not appealing to others. And when I say others, I am speaking about men. I am a young woman in her early twenties that has only been in one short term relationship.

I know of women with years of experience that began early on since high school. I didn’t get into the relationship till around a year ago. I was chubbier in high school and I know that could have deviated potential suitors away from me.

Maybe im annoying. Maybe I’m unattractive. Maybe I give out the wrong aura. I’m told I’m pretty by people and I’m not only referring to female friends or family members. Men too.

My viewpoint though is if I was actually “pretty” (as others say), wouldn’t I have a lot of suitors? I wouldn’t have to resort to online dating and be messaged by guys that either raise red flags in a predatory manner or simply guys that want to fool around.

I dont know or believe I am the problem. I feel as if I have shitty luck with guys. Friends too. Considering I don’t have many at all.
