I literally grew up with my ex. We met when we were 14, and I am not 18. We recently broke up and didn't talk for a few months. Yesterday he texted me asking why I removed him off of my Facebook. I did that because I couldn't get over him if I saw his stuff on there all the time. He's now in a new relationship with someone else. I knew he liked her when we were together, but this whole thing is confusing. Her Facebook says she's in a relationship with someone else, and he told me that they just can't change their Facebook statuses or people will be freaked out. We talked on the phone today for an hour and a few times I lost my composure because I miss him so much. I was perfectly fine until he contacted me yesterday. I had moved on. He got kind of mad when I told him that I was seeing other, older guys. I can see that I clearly have feelings for him still and I have no idea why he wants to talk now. What should I do? He says he still cares about me and loves me, but we just can't be together. Is this a bad idea to talk to him again? I really want to be friends with him, and he wants to be friends too, but I feel like this is probably harmful to us both.
