Okay, so this might be a little long. I'll start from the beginning. I met this guy (of course, it's one of those questions) and I really like him, we've grown as fairly close friends since we met. I can't stop thinking about him and it's torturous and amazing at the same time. Well, I went through a break up about 7 months ago, and he was the one who was there to comfort me. He told me there are better guys out there and you'll find the right one even if I'm not looking ;) (I thought that was a bit flirtatious, don't ya think?) He's called me pretty/attractive multiple times (mostly over text) and we have a lot of things in common. However, in March he got back together with this girl and practically ceased all communication except for when I would text him about a tv show or something basic (I don't even know if they're still together or not). I would never try to tear him apart from his relationship because I know when they broke up the first time he was devastated, but it seems like he liked me before. Pretty much the only reason I'm asking this is because we've started talking a little bit more recently. Not as much in the past, but it still feels like there is a bit of a flirty undertone to the messages (and not from me, I am the last person to be called flirty or anything even remotely close to that). I changed a profile picture on a website (we follow each other) and he messaged me to respond about how it looked (in a good way). I feel like I'm seeing signals that aren't there and I don't want any false hope. Sorry about this being so long. Pretty much just comment on what you think about the situation. Last summer I became friends with a co-worker at our summer job. Our friendship started when he would invite me to work events with his other friend, or along with them to lunch. We started going to lunch nearly every day, and went out after work sometimes for dinner and drinks - with our mutual friend. He always wound up sitting near me, offering me a taste of his drink, and asking about "cute" things that has happened to me romantically in the past. We had semi-flirtatious conversations involving biting, "enjoying the pain", he said "so do I" when I said someone told me they liked my ass, etc. Over the school year we lost touch - he told me that he got very busy and that he'd try and be at the next summer event, and has been emailing me at work often. We even had a conversation that led to me asking if he wanted me to show him how his anatomy worked, to which he said "sure" and then we discussed how he has something in common with the show Dexter: the sex life. However, when I sent him a message later saying if he wanted to casually show me, I'd be down to see the Dexter lifestyle in a non-murderous way, he didn't respond at all. I sort of thought he was sometimes dropping hints of a sexual interest, but now I don't know.

I'm not sure if he's uninterested or what - although he has almost always been the worst at responding to texts within a few days - or if I should have been clearer.
