In the course of the beggining stages with two guys and one says "Hey have any plans Friday?" and I do I'll usually say something like, "I can't do Friday but how about Saturday?". Honesty being important in any relationship I DO NOT offer up a lie like, 'Oh my sister is coming to town' or 'It's a buddies Birthday'.

I've noticed a lot of guys will volunteer these lies when I haven't even asked them about there plans. Say they want to do something with me this coming weekend but have plans on Friday (a date) they won't just say "Let's do something Saturday". They will go into what they are doing Friday but ask if we can do something Sat or Sun...

The volunteering in combo with their reaction on our next date when I randomly ask "how was your friends party" is usually enough for me to confirm this was a white lie. I don't really care if they already have plans with another girl. The only reason I kind f scope this out is so I can see his tells. I don't really care about that particular lie but when someone I'm getting to know volunteers an unnecessary lie it does make me cautious about what else they would lie about if the relationship continues.

I know dating is awkward and maybe he feels guilty about the date because he is starting to like me, that makes sense. But I'm curious, men of the board, is this something you have been guilty of and is it just part of the dating game I shouldn't read too much into?

The last guy I was starting to get serious with told me after date 4 (second sleepover on a Wed.) via text on a Friday afternoon that he forgot he had to go out of town for a wedding that weekend. I hadn't asked him about his weekend plans. So basically I cut him loose...

I have a friend that iv'e known for roughly 1 year now. We had an amazing bond as last year (the year we met) as we were in the same class. We skyped almost every day & played games together. We would sit together at recess, lunch and in class. But towards the end of the year (last year) she sat with old friends, didn't call much and only sat with me at lunch. I understand she can sit with other friends and i'm fine with that. But she rarely called. Now we are in different classes, she sits with other friends and she never calls me. We still go to a youth club together every Friday so we are always partners but recently she has taken someone else up and now i dont have any partner or friend to enjoy youth with, im left alone playing games by myself. To make it worse she "likes" the guy i like and she's pushing me further away from him. She stated that talking to people online is bad and then follows the guy i met online. She also is trying to embarrass me in front of him and other online friends i have. For example the other day i was skyping him and some other friends in the car on the way back from my birthday party with her and i'm singing along to the music. She puts the phone up to my mouth and makes sure they can hear me singing and says "wow, you hear that failed attempt?" *giggle*. I was really hurt and she didn't even make a comment about it. Recently she's only been really talking to me when she can get something out of it like some canteen money or maybe some food, jewellery, a present etc. What do i do? My mum said that this person was the same as the previous 2 that abandoned me. I guess she was right?

I have a on and off again (mostly off) thing with this guy. We haven't talked in a month and a half because I told him to come back when he figures out what he wants.

He texted me two weeks ago asking if I'd come to his party that day because he wanted to see me. I told him that maybe I'll come because I'm already out. Then I texted him at 11pm that it's getting late and I should't be going to his.

I'm positive he got annoyed of the way I texted but he hasn't talked to me in so long that I was a bit mad.
So, to make it right I texted him two days ago saying that I couldn't make it because of a friends birthday and asked him how the party went. Then I said 'It'd be nice to see you anyways'

He didn't reply and he's seen it because it was two double blue ticks on WhatsApp. I don't know what else I can do to make it right? I guess I said why I couldn't come and that I want to see him so there's nothing more?
He always comes back around but this game is starting to exhaust me.
