If you noticed the term "Readily Available" is used in the first half of this list. It specifically means that you have the ability, if you so choose to seek them, to find resources that meet these needs and utilize them. This could be as simple as finding a hotel or fast food shack (meaning you have the money) to as serious as being able to look up a psychiatrist in the phone book and not living trying to hide or "control" your own mental illness due to fear of literally being killed by the society you live declared as having "demons".

After the shooting today in CT, the knee jerk response of people on Facebook and even some gathering outside the White House are that we need more gun control or even to ban guns.

I don't agree. If someone wants to do harm, they will do harm no matter what. In one of the most strictest gun control countries, China, there was a similar event that resulted in no one killed but 20 students injured in a stabbing. Still, this type of thing supposedly happens often in China. Why are we trying to fix the symptoms (guns), while ignoring the cause (mental illness)?
