She is, in my sensibility, 100% correct. California, USA, is the first State I know of that legally recognizes three, count'em 3, genders. There is Male (M), Female (F), and Non-Binary (X). It is a fairly simple procedure to get the drivers license made Non-Binary. Tumblr currently lists 112 genders. By law in Canada it is a violation of Law to mis-gender someone in any form of communication. There are monetary and prison penalties attached, according to what I've read. Will that law be imported into the US or into the country in which you hold your citizenship? Will we all have to do what one of my friends had to do? She had to have her gender and her preferred pronouns printed on her name badge and her business cards. I feel this whole trend is beginning to get out of hand.
