I told him that I just wanted to f*ck him and get it over with. But he wants a relationship but we live in different states 5 hours away. I don't know why he wants a relationship when we live 5 hours away.

That's true, but long-distance relationships are very hard to maintain. You have to be able to sustain a high level of effort for a long time with little reward (assuming it is several months or more between visits), and most people can't do it. It takes incredible dedication from BOTH partners, and the ability and willingness to fight through the loneliness when you are apart.

5 hours away isn't terrible, and if you can spend at least one weekend a month together, you will be fine.
