How do you move on from your crush if you're unable to find someone as attractive, as smart, and equal to them?

If you can't find someone equal to your crush, then how are you supposed to move on? I've been crushing on a girl for a number of years, but I can't move on because I don't want to downgrade. She was crushing on me too, but I was too inexperienced and too much of a pussy that I didn't do anything about it; now I greatly regret it. She's obviously over me and probably quite disappointed as well. So what do I do now? I haven't been able to find her equal or someone better...
