If you had a son who you found out is a pedophile but he is undergoing treatment, would you still disown him?

This is a tough question.
I'm not a parent; so, I can't fathom the love a parent would have for a child.
Having said that, I don't think these people choose to have this sick fantasy of theirs; so, I wouldn't disown a kid for being afflicted by it, especially if they were going out of their way to properly address it.

Look at Jeffrey Dahmer's parents. Even when he went to prison for killing those kids (in very terrifying ways), they still cared for him and visited him in prison.

A parent's love is beyond irrational and knows no bounds.

If he was a pedophile? No. If he was a child molester, that'd be a different matter, but I see no reason to disown them.
