Around age 21, maybe? When you actually are willing to identify as an "adult" and are actually sufficiently mature enough with enough responsibilities and stuff for that to be a legitimate claim. Not like those 14 year olds who claim to be "mature" when they obviously aren't.I'll need to post this though.https://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/blanket_fort.pnghttps://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/lease.png
I'm glad you found that helpful! :D
Personally, I didn't feel like a woman until age 25.Yeah, I had a kid before then but it was a combination of life experience and growth that allowed me to feel that way.I don't think age 18 is the magic marker. It typically happens years after that.
I'm 24 already myself, but referring to myselfas a "man" instead of boy or guy, still feels weird. ^.~
Have an opinion?
I just say what sounds right...19 year old boy sounds better than man. 20 year old man sounds better than boy.So 20 for boys.Girls it's a little more grey. Girl sounds better until at least 25. Then between 25 and 30 interchangeable. After 30 woman
Yeah except they say girls generally mature a few years before guys, so the age for girls would be lower.
@JessicaL I'm not really talking about in terms of maturity. I just mean what sounds better in the ear lol
Since when does a girl become a guy based on "how it sounds"?
@JessicaL lmao huh?
It doesn't really depend on any age it depends in his actions and his choices.. For example I have a friend that is the same age as me but he lives with his mom and sister but he pays rent and bills without the help of anyone and without a dad I res him much for that on the other side me I'm just going to partys every weekend many wouldn't consider me manly yet..
When their hearts are broken, even once. They are done. Congratulations. They are women and men now.
Are you a woman, then? ^.~
Yeah. I lived what I had to live.
age isn't the only factor which makes you mature.i am not young anymore, but i know i am kinda silly and naive.there is a view here that you become a guy when you are not afraid of handle the problems alone anymore and you are able to support your friends, your girlfriend and your family instead of ask for help all the time.
When they can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two imposters just the same.
I like your answer. ^.^
Obviously only after he/she has completed the adulthood iniciation ritual defined by the tribe's chief
No specific time. I dont know how to describe it, you just grow up. Stupid small things aren't as important yet important small things mean that much more. I don't know you just change
legaly? after turning 18mentally? whenever you want ;-0personall i feel a boy... not a man ^.~ <----- (just copying your signature smiley (^.~) LOL :-P)
When they actually become responsible without wrinkles on their face.
When she gets her period! Jk I'm 18 and I think I'm still a 'girl'. I'd say around 20. For guys I'd say 18. But it depends.
-when they are able to deal and handle complex situation (including lovelife) with patience and understanding.-when they have been in a lot of various challenging experiences in life and able to cope up every challenges without whining.-When they think and act according to their age.. My basis sometimes for this are the theories in psychology like that of Erickson (about psychosocial), Freud (psychosexual), Piaget (cognitive) and Kohlberg (moral)..If its a random person, I just observed on how one interacts, behaves and reacts to certain situation.. from there, i could say if he/she is girl/boy or already a man/woman.
When they are responsible enough to prioritize themselves and the ones they love. You can admit your mistakes and can forgive others for theirs, you are not dependent on others for finances or health care/ you pay your own way. You are understanding of people, but stand up for yourself.Just because you mature does not mean you stop having fun or doing things like video games, theme parks or clubs. What makes u mature is the ability to say: my gf/so. mother is sick, i am going to postpone my clubing tonight and take care of her. or I said something that upset my SO i will apologize instead of making exusesThats my opinion anyway
20. As teen age years are complete and growth is essentially complete. Legally we are recognized as adults. No one asks when do you stop being a toddler or a pre teen bc it's accepted it's physiological. your behavior sometimes lags behind if is advanced for your age. A person physiologically becomes a woman or man when there body is done growing. When they have passed all the growth stags. Otherwise it's all metaphor and overdramatizing age landmarks.Since our brains continue developing g till around 25 we are young women and young men till around thirty. But being a teen aver stops age. You're done being a teenager. We don't have any other words to describe post teen period than adult 20 is when I'd call women women and men men. If they don't fit the part then they have some work to do. Which is less likely if they are still being called children.
20. Teenagehood ends when you turn TWENTY. the numbers thirTEEN to nineTEEN are your teen years... well that's what I believe anyway.
When they become mature and responsible. Age is a number, so it can't determine maturity
I didn't become a man in my eyes until after boot camp at age 20.
when the teen years are over and life experiences makes them mature. Around 25-30 i assume
When their teens are over.
She survives her first heart break.
There is no discernible point.
When they finally have a gf/bf. :\
I guess the age is 20
When kids start calling you like that
I thi k I became a man at 17
I became one when I was 13, again when I was 20, and once again at 26Religion, Sex, and psychologically. They have reports out now that say that you don't fully mature, psychologically, until you're 26, but, I believe that you can become a man/woman at other ages (as is proven with me)
