In both ways... Kylo Ren's face doesn't fit for a bad ass villain... also Kylo's character is lame as fuck to become the new Darth Vader...
Thats some good commentary haha
@SwolDishWasher had my fellow movie watchers laughing lol
he was supposed to be much more skilled in technique and smarter in the knowledge of the force than rey...
Meeh. Rey did get real good with her staff too, so it's not like she doesn't know how to fight. Plus being strong in the force does help fighting abilities, and since Rey is almost definitely very strong in the force (She's the protagonist, so she almost certainly is) it makes sense for her to be a good fighter.
He had been shot. Most people drop dead from that.
Rogue One is a better movie in my opinion...
I really want to see that, I heard it was much grittier.
yeah exactly, that's why it's called Rogue One for a reason! i've already watched it on theaters

anakin has always been better... he has always had some sort of dark and mystical aura around him... he has always been a guy that you should be careful since the beginning, when he was still a padawan under Obi Wan... but Kylo is just pitiful he doesn't make us spectator feel any fear but pitiful
To me, Anakin was way worse. Kylo makes conscious decisions to push towards the dark side while having doubts. Anakin just runs around looking for short cuts and then ends up being a pawn like... INSTANTLY. I think there was stuff in the script that could have made Anakin's role better, but they downplayed it, and the direction... I don't want to blame hayden, though i'm not sure he helped, but the direction was bad.To use a simple example, in episode 1, they turned Anakin winning the battle into almost a lame joke. They established he's like a preternaturally gifted pilot who uses the force, better than any other pilot in the universe, then have him fly -into- a battlestation and blow it up... by accident? He should have just been like, yeah, I got this. And then after the battle, they should have had padme ask if he was okay, or upset about all the killing, and had him just be like 'they needed to be destroyed' with zero fucks given.
.. and then you'd be seeing more how when he got pushed to side with the emperor to try to save padme, he would have just been like 'well, time to wipe out the younglings'. They could have shown him as fairly remorseless from the start, and it would have made more sense. Instead he just seemed impulsive, and that's... not so terrifying to me.I like kylo's mix of coldly pushing himself, anger tantrums, etc. I think it's a more interesting turn to the dark.
no.. and no... lol... kylo is just a wannabee villain... he tries hard, but in the endjust the best he can do is some childish tantrum... on the other hand, anakin is "natural"... he doesn't even need to rationalize about it because his darkness has always been deep deep inside his mind and his personality.. that's one thing that you don't understand... he didn't just jump in the dark force instantly as you said... you don't understand his character at all...
She;s obviously been trained. She also has ridiculous force sensitivity. She also trained fighting with melee weapons on Jakku. And on top of it all? He'd -already been shot-. There are rumors they fight again in the next episode and he kicks her ass till help arrives.
@0112358 "Are we supposed to be afraid of him now?" That's the exact point... a villain who is unable to inspire fear towards the spectators, is simply a lame villain
good point! rey vs kylo ren fight was lame as fuck... it didn't make any sense... kylo ren was supposed to crush and rape rey since he supposedly much more trained and skilled than her
