Personal finance 101: What changes have you made in order to be more mindful with your economy?

Anonymous
Ever since I initiated grad school a lot of changes occurred.
1. I started paying my own medical health care plan.
2. Stopped following trends, and intentionally work in developing a sense of style regardless of fast fashion that was more tuned with my personality. (Aka.. more timeless).
3. I'm more aware of how easily money can be over-estimated.
4. I mindfully choose to eat home and plan ahead my meals so I don't find an excuse to eat out, spend more and maybe for food that isn't that healthy.
5. I stopped going to gym and now work out in the outdoors.

I'd love to hear from you all, what has worked for you?

What tips would you share in order to help others save money and become more mindful?
