Not necessarily paid the same, a few main factors include: The company, a female or male manager could just generally do more work then their opposite gender counterpart, there is also time for example although some of my teachers have the same position as another, they're paid less because the other has been their a lot longer. So the company will pay the more loyal/harder working employee.
