"There is nothing wrong with a few pounds too much" So a recent study confirmed that that actually isn't true. Individuals who were fatter by like fifteen or twenty pounds of fat had a 31% higher mortality rate in the study than individuals who were fit and slim. Try again.
A study also confirmed that being underweight is more unhealthy then being obese (30-34.9 BMI, not mega obese). I think you are the one who should try again. Skinny does not mean healthy!www.webmd.com/.../underweight-even-deadlier-than-overweight-study-says
Yes, it does. That's one study; multiple ones confirm that being overweight is worse. Sorry.
It was one example, here are a few more to pop your pro anorexia bubblewww.eurekalert.org/.../uoma-sfw102417.php - Underweight causes early menopauseamp.theguardian.com/.../underweight-people-face-significantly-higher-risk-of-dementia-study-suggests - Being underweight increases your chances to have dementiashine365.marshfieldclinic.org/.../ - Being underweight is very unhealthy, spesifically for women due to damaging their periodsThere are a lot more examples on why being underweight is risky and deadly. There is nothing wrong with having preferences though, if your ideal girl is skinny and underweight no one has the right to tell you its wrong but dont use the health excuse, its bullshit.Lifestyle metters, my skinny girlfriends workout less then me, drink more then me, smoke more then me and tan a lot more then me.
No one has a "pro-anorexia" bubble. I think you need counseling, sis.
You are, if you can not understand the fact that being underweight has risks and its just as unhealthy as being overweight. If anything I think guys that only like skinny women have deep issues since skinny women (underweight) have many fertility issues, it might be a good thing though. You seem to have some damaged genes
Surely, that's part of it.
Yeah right? Terrible, I know.
Yup. Then there’s the defensive people who jump to their rescue whenever someone offends them with the truth.
Yeah it's pretty pathetic.
... Almost no one who is obese has a thyroid problem. Thyroid problems are relatively rare. Intaking massive amounts of empty calories and then not exercising makes you fat. This isn't hard.
Thyroid problems are not rare lol, I have hyperthyroidism so the one that makes you super skinny, many many people have hypothyroidism it is actually pretty common, and yes being lazy not exercising does make you fat as well but does someone deserve to be bullied because of that?
No, it's not common. If it was common, people a century ago and back would have been just as fat as we all are now. And they weren't. People are fat now because of an excessive consumption of empty-calorie, high fat, high sugar, high salt processed foods and a sedentary lifestyle. This isn't complicated.
Lol literally 12% of people have thyroid issues, that’s not an opinion that is a straight fact, 12% is a large amount of people, 12% is not rare, people worked 16-20 hour days an average a century ago and ate very little... ofc they were skinny, that isn’t complicated
Um... no. Twelve percent is rare, dude. "Lol" indeed, or whatever. 93 million Americans are clinically obese-- even more than that are overweight, as well. Only 20 million Americans suffer from some sort of thyroid disorder, according to the American Thyroid Association. You're saying that obesity is happening because of thyroid disorders, when even at its most closely-associated measurement, it still would only account for less than 25% of all obese people in America. And... my God. Yes, you literally just agreed with me-- I literally just said that people are so fucking fat these days because of sedentary lifestyles and an overabundance of cheap, shitty calories. Are you dense? Try again.
Haha ok first off dude I NEVER said all obesity is caused by thyroid issues I was saying it is a common issue and 1/10 people is actually extremely common for a disorder like that, if you actually read my original post I literally said that some people are obese because they are lazy, it’s not my fault if you can’t read bro, you just started segueing in weather thyroid conditions are rare or not, I’m not even sure you understand what your arguing for or against here
"Haha" or something, uh you literally mentioned thyroid disorders immediately. "for all you know they can have a thyroid problem" YOU were the one implying that there is a heavy connection between the two. Now you're backing off, presumably because you realized how stupid it was. It's not my fault if you don't know how to make a point with anything even barely resembling logic, bro.
I have lost 40 lbs and I am still pro body positivity, being underweight is unhealthy and not everyone were meant to be a size 2 and thats fine
@Smiley_face101 there is a certain healthy range. as long as you are within that range, there's nothing to complain about but if you are not, you should have the self awareness to admit that and do your best to change that instead of just "accepting" the fact that you're severely harm your body just to feel good about yourself.
And once again, I have lost 40lbs so I know that.I am very muscular so being thin is something that will never happen and thats fine. I just go by the lifestyle rule, I make my lifestyle healtheir and my body adjusts accordingly. I think working out at least 4 times a week (both cardio and strengh) will not kill me
@Smiley_face101 well if you know that then what are we arguing here? you lost 40 lbs. good for you. how does that argue with what i said? if you're still overweight, you should lose some more, which shoudn't be a big issue when you already lost 40 lbs. if you are not overweight anymore, what`s the issue then?
And just like you said a healthy range, being underweight is also unhealthy and even worse then being slightly overweight
@Smiley_face101 yes. and also being "overweight" is unhealthy no matter if it's muscle or fat.
Because I dont like "its usually fat people.." attidue, because I dont like that being underweight is okay despite it being very unhealthy. As for myself I am trying to get used to my body since I lost those 40lbs pretty fast so I am trying to adjust, I have also gained a lot of muscle so I try to figure things out.
How can muscles make me unhealthy? 🤔
@Smiley_face101 well it us "usually fat people" xD didn't say "everyone that is fat doesn't want to lose weight and is rather offended about being too fat" did i? normal weight people don't need to campaign for "body-positivity", cause their bodies already are acceptable xD
i was roughly 20 lbs over a few times in my life. i was never like "we need to accept all shapes". i realized i'm getting fat and took action to lose those pounds.
We live in a world where the upper range of "normal" weight is considered fat 🙁
@Smiley_face101 i call myself fat, when i'm even just 2 pounds over the "healthy BMI", cause that's what i am and i will do what it takes to stop being fat. easy as that.
And? I have lost more weight, I think no extreme should be praised.
Its more about the body fat percentage then the weight
@Smiley_face101 no it's more about weight. cause bodybuilders who are way overweight while having no fat whatsoever still harm their body much in the same way a fat person would. human physiology isn't build to sustain overweight. neither muscle nore fat. yes no extreme should be praised so why do we need "body positivity" then?
Because if you can not see the diffrance between 10 to 100 lbs overweight you have a big problem.
@Smiley_face101 10 pounds overweight is less than 100 pounds overweight. it's both overweight and both persons need to lose weight. one more than the other. so what is it we're arguing here xD i still don't get it.
Dude don't bother.

Because it affects everyone. Their high health costs raise my insurance premiums, you colossal idiot. Are you joking?
Insurance? Really? That's your reasoning? It's more likely you don't like having an undesirable beauty standard forced on you by media. That's fine, no one does. Still, if you don't like it, then don't look.
Well being underweight makes you pay more for your insurance but thats okay because its more nice for you to look at.Also smokers make you pay more and standing next to a smoker is deadly while standing next to an overweight person is not.
"Insurance? Really? That's your reasoning?" Dude, you asked for "why do you care," and I gave you a measurable fact as an answer. Do I *also* not like seeing obesity everywhere because it's disgusting? Yes. The point is that it doesn't have to be only one thing.
@Smiley_face101 No, it doesn't. Please seek counseling.
I think you are the one who should seek physcological treatment. You said it yourself, you just dont like seeing obese people and thats fine but there is a huge diffrance between overweight and obese.
Yes... most guys want thinner girls, because that's what's more attractive. Correct.
