Are men turned down for being single? If so, why?

I myself am a single gentleman, and I have no problem with it. Although I do hear some people turning men down (especially on this website) for being single. Is it because of MGTOW, or is it because people think men need women more than women need men?

Believe me, there are more women that said they're happy being single than men. Also, most of the public applause the women for being single.

Just to let you know, I don't support MGTOW because it's a radical movement that turns down women in society (similar to the feminists turning down men in society, which I also DON'T support). I'm just a normal independent man who just wants to live life without having to put up with any of the stress from a spouse and/or children.
