Okay thanks. That makes senseI thought the voters were calling for a new election. And I thought the people chose him.by the way, his comments weren't racist. Secular Muslilms say the same thing. It's not racist to comment on a piece of clothing.Covering the face is not mandated in Islam anyways
But I thought that's why they were trying to kick him out
Johnson wants an election, the opposition and rebel conservatives won't give him one, as they're simply seizing control. The house passed a bill requiring the prime minister to ask for an extension if faced with no-deal Brexit. So he's scrambling to avoid that (most likely call the election and simply hit the deadline having done nothing so voila, no deal Brexit). His supporters are trying to slow it in the house of lords as well.Basically UK parliament has been gridlocked since the Brexit vote. There is no majority for any of a no-deal Brexit, no Brexit or any likely Brexit deal. To some extent, that seems to be hinged to me on a group who imagine some sort of fantasy Brexit that can't really pass.Part of it as well as the current conservatives even prior to this week didn't have a majority, and were using support from a northern irish unionist party to govern. The simplest 'brexit' plans involve, frankly, losing northern Ireland from the UK, which obviously that group wasn't in favor of.The other issues in Brexit are simply that it will be a huge waste of money, short term job losses, long term lower income for the U. K. but hey, that's just money. The issue that goes beyond money is the irish border.
So kind of like how Arnold became governor of California Wait, HE called for a general election?Even so, why can't he avoid making a Brexit deal under the current conditions. If he holds a general election he'll lose. Why did Teresa May resign?
Theresa May resigned because MPs wouldn't support the deal she negotiated with the EU. Fair play, it was a crappy deal.Boris is calling for an election. He has no parliamentary majority so he will have to call a General Election eventually. MPs have passed a bill which requires him to request a delay to Brexit if he can't get a deal by the end of October.
OkayI seeThank you
I don't have any legal standing but I do have a dungeon in my cellar. j/k
You're against Brexit?Why?
But that didn't really answer my question
@MoscowMitch Good thing you caught yourself there by adding "JK"I had to google what JK means otherwise I was about to cry.
Write a myTake on why you don't support Brexit and also covering some claims of people who do support it... If u didn't already.
@CubsterShura I can't be bothered to... but thanks for the idea... I am too busy dealing with depression and anxiety.
Writing about this could be a good distraction to whatever is depressing you. But it would be interesting, try to make time to write one if you want to. No pressure.
@CubsterShura I will think about it! It's just that it's such a controversial topic that everybody will start fighting in the comments and people will troll me. But I will still think about it...
@CubsterShura OMG!!! You are an EDITOR!!! Editor despite being only 18!!! And I am 20 and still not an editor! And I didn't know you follow me.
I became an Editor here when I was 17. But I have been writing stuff online from when I was as young as 14 so that kinda explains how I got it. I didn't expect it either. I'm surprised that I didn't lose the editor status yet now that I don't write myTakes as much anymore.
