Apparently GAG has some emoji discord, the emojis after “IDIOTS” was supposed to be the frustrated one with steam coming out its nose, not a huge smiley face, lmao, wtf GAG?
Why you think you must sell yourself out?
You need money to fund your campaign and advertise. A lot of it is donated. The individuals and groups that donate have their own agendas, and when they donate, they're not doing it out of pure charity: they expect something in return. You might be able to get by locally on your own or with limited funding. But to throw your sales pitch across the state or across the country is going to take a LOT of money. Politicians don't typically pay for that out of their own pockets (even if they could). They'll take plenty of money from various groups, but the trade is that they're going to vote on topics that benefit that group the most. And the group always holds the threat that if they don't vote in their favor, they'll withhold money during reelection. If your message can't make it to all of the people you want it to, then you're going to potentially be out of a lot of votes. In short: politicians want to get and keep their jobs. Even if they don't like a particular cause, they'll vote for it if the people behind it donate multi-millions of dollars to their campaign, which helps them stay employed.
Why? A good politician can help transform a country wheather for good or bad. I forgot his name but a leader of Singapore began a transition that literally transformed Singapore from a 3rd world trash to literally a top 2 country in the world in terms of infrastructure and education as we speak.
What can be and what is are two different things. I’d argue that there are leaders that can come from any occupation that can transform society or segments of society and that politician is just another career that happens to be full of power hungry biased hypocrites. Necessary cogs in the system.
I would like to hear your arguments of what leaders that don't hold political power can transform a society.
There’s a difference between holding political power and being a politician. It happens all around you every day. Business leaders, military leaders, religious leaders, technology leaders.

A cop isn't a hard job at all. It doesn't even crack the top 10 of difficulty.
I asked about the career not evil politicians who use dirty tactics.
I answered about the career
You are talking about politicians. I'm talking about the career of politics. There's a difference.
Politics as a career is a different question. You asked about ‘politicians’ in your original question and if you know me by now I don’t BS when answering
Ok, maybe I miss wrote it.
Man, you seriously don't know the Bible. And this question has nothing to do with Jesus but rather the career of politics
Jesus never sought political office. Real Christians don't, either.
No kidding, Jesus didn't come to be a politician but to die on the cross. Jesus is king forever and will establish his kingdom upon earth one day. And where you get a Christian can't seek political office? Another made up trash philosophy from you among the lie you push to deceive that hell fire isn't eternal when there's around 5 scriptures in the Bible even from Jesus himself that it is.So called people like you that profess Christianity but make up our own doctrine is what the Bible warns about.
Jesus came to die for our sins, but also to preach about the Kingdom his Father gave him. Christians are to emulate him (Matthew 28:19-20). They would not be doing so if they were voting or getting involved with the world's politics (John 17:14-16; 18:36). Human history has shown that world politics is divisive (2 Timothy 2:23-26) and opposed to Christianity (John 15:17-20; Luke 4: 5-8). Christians should be united in serving God and bearing witness to Jesus, not divided along political or nationalistic lines (1 Corinthians 1:10).
None of those scriptures have nothing to or prohibiting a Christian getting into politics but rather Christians fighting and causing division among themselves..If politics was a sin then King David was sinning among all the other rulers in history. You can't make such a lame excuse because politics sometimes is divisive with bad people in it that's why a Christian can't be one.
So many liars, so many in it for the wrong reasons.
But if good people in power like the country of Singapore then don't think it's a admirable career since the politicians of Singapore have their country ranked at least in the top 3 in very important societal areas.
Yea well I don't live in Singapore I live in the US, and our politicians are all hot garbage.
That's a good one too.
