When will being a short man be recognised as a disability?

If you are a short male you are at a marked disadvantage when it comes to life.

For a start, females despise short men and do not find them attractive, frequently targeting them for mockery even though height cannot be changed. Females conversely are not shamed for this, hence the male specification in the question.

Otherwise, if you are short you are never going to be respected as a tall man is. If a short man gets angry or upset he is accused of "short man syndrome", a phrase that sounds like an ableist slur.

Short men too, are often relegated to being comedy sidekicks in fiction, whereas being attractive, or a leader, or a hero is reserved solely for tall men.

This lack of respect will dominate your life, from job prospects, to friends and your treatment by society at large.

So, when will being a short man be recognised as the disability it rightfully is?
