Bruh... So if I burn down the neighborhood I can spend the rest of my life with a roof under my head, three hot meals a day, a bed to sleep on, and an xbox to keep me busy, all paid by for you and other hard working, law abiding citizens. Opposed to being a good boy, which entails working from 9-5 for a small apartment, crappy car, and no free time.I wonder which one I'll choose.
Why the hell for? So they can enjoy it in there while us law abiding citizens PAY for that? Absolutely not. What a ridiculous question
Well it's better than sitting in the cell bored the whole time it would at least relieve some of the bordom of being in the cell but at least it's better than nothing
It's all about the mental health care
But above all that they are still human beings and still even though they have done wrong they still deserves some respect.
Who cares? If they’re in jail for a crime, they’re already fucked up
Dude. If they didn’t want to be sitting in a cell bored, then they shouldn’t have commit the damn crime. They don’t deserve any respect, if they can’t respect others then why should they be respected? Makes zero sense.
Well they aren't any less human for doing wrong they still at least should be treated like a human and people can change.
They are not owed anything. It’s ridiculous enough that they get amazing healthcare off or OUR taxes. They don’t need any luxury. If they hate jail or prison, maybe when they get out, they won’t commit any more crimes. Like your logic is ridiculous
So instead of just throwing them away in a cell wouldn't putting them in rehab be better than locking them away
You know they have shit to do in prison right? Sitting around playing video games will do nothing for a convict who needs to work on themselves and what they want to do after they get out.
I've never been in a there. so i can't really know what goes on in there.
I haven't either, but I know a lot of prisons have libraries, gyms, work release programs, all sorts of stuff. As much as I like video games they do almost nothing to improve people lives other than the short term distraction of actually playing them.
They need something to keep them from doing drugs and committing crimes.
Why not just pull them through rehab that can do wonders and miracles wouldn't that work?
rehab doesn't work for the muslims
Nope.Because they're fucks.
Why not just put them through rehab instead of just locking them away?
Rehab can do miracles and wonders wouldn't that work?
Prison is rehab for the violent, the problem is people who have tendencies that surpass a certain level of violence are often beyond help, and usually, don't want it. They are safer being restrained, but I do agree there are potential avenues for improvement in psychological corrections. On the contrary, sociopaths who rape, torture, and murder often are beyond those means. Video games like fucking Mario World are not remedies.I saw a murder sentencing once, and that was enough for me to lose sympathy for monsters. Once.
I looked a man in the eyes who murdered his ex-girlfriend who was pregnant with his kids. There was no rehab for that man. He felt nothing and didn't care. No, there isn't rehab for people like that.
So your saying rehab doesn't always work for some people?
Yes, I am.
Maybe as a reward for good behavior.
No. They should suffer.
Well you see it this way, but in the end it they are still human and should still be treated as human beings it doesn't make them less human for doing wrong. People can change
No, they knew what they were doing and they knew the consequences. They didn’t treat their victims like human beings, so they don’t deserve be treated like one either. They ruin innocent people’s lives and leave scars that will stay with them for a lifetime, and for that, they don’t deserve to have a decent jail experience. They deserve to suffer slowly.
Why not just rehabilitate them and get them out into the world again
Rehab can make miracles and do wonders for people
Because they don’t deserve to be back out into the world until they’ve served their time behind bars.
Not all the time.
So you are saying that rehabilitating someone doesn't always work?
Yes I am.
