Sure let's play that game. You are talking about trick down economics. That has been tried and never worked. Now we are trying the same arguments for the same economic imbalance and expecting new results."Each and every time state or federal governments have tested Laffer’s trickle-down theory, deficits balloon, rich folks hoard their wealth at the top, and average Americans suffer."~ www.theguardian.com/.../why-are-we-still-pretending-trickle-down-economics-work"According to the ITEP report, the lowest-income 20 percent of taxpayers end up paying, on average, a state and local tax rate more than 50 percent higher than the top 1 percent of households."~ howmuch.net/.../who-pays-more-taxes-rich-vs-poor“virtually every state’s tax system is fundamentally unfair, taking a much greater share of income from low- and middle-income families than from wealthy families.”~ www.cnbc.com/.../...xes-than-the-middle-class.html"The trend is clear. The poor and middle class pay taxes; the rich don’t, and live off those who do."~ www.pbs.org/.../column-much-poor-actually-pay-taxes-probably-think"For the first time in a century, America's 400 richest families now pay lower taxes than people in the middle class"~ www.cbsnews.com/.../~ www.bloomberg.com/.../why-american-workers-pay-twice-as-much-in-taxes-as-wealthy-investors
Paying 12% of $100 million of INCOME is a hell of a LOT more money than someone who pays 17% on $30,000 in income. Don't believe these stupid "percentage" lies. Here's what happens when you tax the "rich" - www.google.com/.../wealthy-taxpayers-are-fleeing-these-states-droves&ved=2ahUKEwj57pn2_7LlAhUKR6wKHcYzB7cQFjAPegQIARAB&usg=AOvVaw3sVHIh3AktkxF0tXueZFXQThey take THEIR money and go somewhere else where they get to KEEP more of it. They didn't get wealthy by being stupid with their money. And no, they didn't cheat on their taxes. Believe me, the IRS would be all over their asses if they did! Try cheating on your taxes and see how well that works out for YOU!
I think she ment income taxes... the more money you make, the more u spend on taxes. To me, this is unfair.
I was also talking about income taxes. If you make more income than someone else on the line, should you pay more for your hamburger? People who earn a lot of money are the ones who create the jobs that give other people opportunities to climb the success ladder. We should celebrate wealth and success, not punish it.
I COMPLETELY agree!
Smart AND beautiful. Now there's a winning combo. :)
Aww shucks, thanks🤗🤗
