Neither. It's a doll girls play with. I remember my sister and her friends used to live out their girlish fantasies of growing up using barbies such as weddings, cocktail parties, dates, proms etc. They stole my GI Joe's because Ken wasn't manly.
I was a Bratz girl back in the day. For that reason Narbie always seemed like the "Classier middle classed, private school blonde".
Whereas Bratz were rebels in a normal government school who lived for fashion and rock music who despised safe styles like Barbie's. Was much more relatable for a lot of other girls in the 2000s- Aww how I miss those days.
Sorry. Lol this question really took me back to memory lane.
by the way my vote was "dumb blonde"

Barbie at first was a teenager with no job. Later she seemed college girl with part time job, then she was a career woman. She's done a million things. A fashion model. What have you. Never got the impression she was dumb and Babs had a million hair colors. The questionable person was Ken. Ken NEVER had a job! He just hung around Barbie's house. I think he was in the life. He was always dressed well. Where was he getting his money? Umm hmmm...

I hate barbie. She's either a braindead bimbo or a high flying ultra successful career woman. It's never secretary barbie always business woman barbie. There's no farmer Barbie covered in sheep shit, no postie Barbie getting chased by a dog, no Mac barbie flipping burgers.

If you ever seen the original barbie movies that they started making in 2001 to 2010, you would know that barbie is an innocent kind girl who cares about many people and things and she likes to do what is right. She likes to care for others and she likes to have hobbies and she loves to learn new things. She isn't boy crazy, she falls in love with the men who have the same energy as her but as a guy (of course the guy isn't like real ones but whatever)

Blonde people have received lots of hate and oppression over the course of history. They were very desirable sex slaves in both the Roman empire and Ottoman empire. After WWII the anti-blonde hate began again. I think Barbie is more of negative thing against blonde people than a positive thing for feminism.

I consider the Barbie Doll to be a toy.
I think it's cool that she now comes in different body types and a wide variety of skin tones and hair colors though.

Neither. If Ken gives her any lip she bops him with a frying pan. She is her own woman!
