Sweetie there are 25 days left in the decade and you're still swinging off my left nut. Block me like so many other have and go do something with yourself.
What are these numbers supposed to mean?
1. I am not some whiny backward hypocritical ranter like you. I do not block one single soul. But I am the most blocked poster here. Go ask political_dude, olderandwiser, rissyanne and all of your other anti-pc hypocritical snowflakes about whom they have blocked. So let me turn this around, since you are cut from the same cloth, go ahead and block me since you have such an issue with me confronting you.2. What do you think the numbers represent? Are you so dense you can't see the dollar signs? It is box office revenue.
Not all those movies are woke. What is it you're trying to communicate? Woke Star Wars started with Force Awakens in 2015 which I went to see (so I added to the 2 billion) and like many others the stupidity of Force Awakens being a LITERAL REWRITE of EP IV made it so I haven't paid for any Star Wars content in 4 years. So again, why are you posting the profits of all Star Wars films?
You are too dense for words. How did you make it to being 36 years old?Dude, the new series is woke nonsense. Even I can see that. And it has virtually dwarfed all other movies in terms of revenue. The next movie will hit another homerun. Nothing you say about the entertainment industry is valid or has any credibility. Because you simply project your political fantasy.People just do not care about wokeness or any of your political burdens. They go to see this badly written fantasy because it is Star Wars. I don't care that Rey is a woman. I don't care that she beat the crap out of a heavily trained "White" male Kylo Ren without any training at all. I don't that all the comically evil Imperial troopers are almost all "White" and male. I don't care that all of the supposed "rebels" are non-"White", mixed race, female, etc. I only care that the new series is badly written, it lacks imagination, it tries to use the same old imagery and style. It was a "universe" that has too much potential for them to write the same tired storyline. I know the entire plot of the next movie. And it is hilariously lame.So if you don't see how this a rebuttal then you are sorrier than I first thought.
"Captain Marvel was extremely "woke" but its storytelling, acting and the fact it was Mrs. Marvel, who I may add is one of the more popular Marvel characters, made it one of the most financially successful films in 2019." - Explain to me then why Captain Marvel was canceled and why the comic book tanked after the release of the film? Because from what I understand Captain Marvel only made as much as it did because it was a tie-in to Endgame. Fans felt they HAD to go watch Captain Marvel as some sort of lead-in to Endgame. Captain Marvel 2 wasn't going to have that so they cancelled it.
Stop making stuff up. They didn't cancel Captain Marvel 2.www.radiotimes.com/.../My original point still stands. A movie can be "woke" and still be successful if done right.
The article you posted is literally from TODAY, December 5th, 2019. Back in October the movie was cancelled. Clearly they changed their minds. NO one is making anything up Your own link says the movie won't come out now for a while. Whether they brought it back from cancellation or not, the point still stands that by all accounts Captain Marvel only did well because it was a tie-in to Endgame and even still the fan reviews tore Brie Larson and the Film to shreds. Black Widow is Marvel getting ahead of the end of wokeness and coming out with a good solid movie that fans will like without all the bullshit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLA10WEJvgI
That's wrong. Stop getting your intel from YouTubers, and do your own research. If you had actually done your own research you would know that Captain Marvel 2 was NEVER canceled. Hell, it was confirmed months ago. That YouTuber took a comment from Brie Larson (the actress who plays Captain Marvel) out of context. Brie Larson said she doesn't know when Captain Marvel 2 would be released because it wasn't apart of the upcoming MCU films that would be released before 2022. She said nothing about it being canceled. www.digitalspy.com/.../Just because Captain Marvel 2 doesn't have a release date doesn't mean it's canceled. Marvel Studio tries to ensure that each of their movies are released far apart from one another so they don't compete with each other at the box office. For example, Captain Marvel was initially supposed to be released in early-2018 but was pushed back because of "SpiderMan: Homecoming". It was then supposed to be released in late 2018 but was pushed even further back because of "Ant-Man and Wasp".Not having a release date doesn't mean the movie is canceled. It just means there are other films in front of Captain Marvel 2 that needs to be released first. I don't expect another Captain Marvel film until 2023. Why? Because there are about 6-7 other films that Marvel wants to release by 2022.
As for Captain Marvel only being successful because viewers felt it tied in with Endgame, well that's very debatable. Ant-Man and Wasp tied into Endgame way more than Captain Marvel did, and it did nowhere near as good as Captain Marvel did at the box office.
Jesus Fucking Christ. Are you a comic book fan? Like seriously. Captain Marvel is a MUCH bigger character than Ant-Man is. Lots of people went to Captain Marvel thinking it was going to be a bigger, more in-depth story than it actually was. You're refusing to get it through your head. As a COMIC FAN, I spent 2 years thinking Captain Marvel was going to be on the same level as a Superman or Batman or AT LEAST Wonder Woman film being released, in terms of Quality. That's why we all went to see it on impulse without really having to be convinced. That's where the 800 million came from, along with the obvious connection to Endgame - you get to the theater and it's a cheap 1990s period piece full of cheap half-assed feminist cliches and a leading actress that seems to be made of wood. I PROMISE you if CP2 makes over 500 Million it will be due to some gimmick the studios pull at last minute OR again, some tie-in to another film.
Thank you for proving my point. Captain Marvel became a box office hit despite being "woke" because the character known as Captain Marvel is popular. The reaction of fans after Infinity War when Captain Marvel's insignia appeared on screen was a clear indication that the film was destined for success because 1. A new hero was going to be introduced and 2. It's Captain fuckin Marvel. Even if the film wasn't tied to Endgame it still would have been successful because it's the premiere film of Captain Marvel in the MCU. Whether Captain Marvel 2 reaches the same level of success is questionable, but I'm positive it will do more than $500 million on just hype alone. If "Thor: The Dark World" was able to bring in over $600 million then Captain Marvel 2 should have no problem surpassing that. The directors would seriously have to not give a fuck in order for Captain Marvel 2 to fail at the box office.
