That's deep. 👍🏼
"becouse it's getting more and more expensive to keep even yourself alive."Lol, so is why wealthier countries have less countries and the poorest countries on the planet with the highest rates of malnutrition have the highest birth rates (e. g. Niger)?
"becouse it's getting more and more expensive to keep even yourself alive."This right there!!!
well being a south African but Live in Australia Melbourne. I have a bit of exposure to that issue. it's usually that the government give money to the poor to help them report their kids but really they just have more and more kids and $hitty part is they don't use that money to raise their kids and they end up poor and doing the same thing at a young age thinking it's how it works
That struck me like a dagger coated in liquid nitrogen. I've been doing the same thing for a long time but the changes are so slow, I'm getting crazy. Wake up in the morning, work, eat, study, then collapse on the bed. Repeat.
Don't give up my ass just finished a 3rd 13hour shift in a row and still have 2 days to go. one day I'll have my life the way I want it but... today I work hard so tomorrow I can relax ( figure of speech)
Same here. Children would be a serious hindrance. I believe, that life doesn't have to be that way, so I break my ass 100 times, so I can relax afterwards 1000 times.
yeah it's not. In the USA the poorest people are the fattest.

did you know that for every year after 35 a woman chance of giving birth to a baby with down's syndrome increases by 50%? I hope you don't change your mind in 5 years...
Thank you. I’ll make the decision for myself when and if the time is right.
But for now, I am loving life as is.
tick, tock, tick, tock, time moves forward whether you are ready or not.
Daniel, my doctor gave me the green light to wait a few years. Regardless, my husband and I have discussed adoption. His sister is unable to have kids and has adopted 5 children with her husband. I have a lot of compassion for children in foster care because they don’t always gets them same chances and opportunities that others kids do. So IF we ever decide to have kids and we can’t physically bring one to term, we’ll do that. But there are options. No need to behave in the malicious way you currently are. Unit1, thanks man.
Do these natalists have nothing better to do i wonder
And as some other people are pointing out, currently its very dark times. I'd personally also hold off until i know my children have a future. Not talking about the climate shenanigans here but about the facist regime in the making on a global scale (Very much like China but with less communism). Before i have kids i want to ensure that trend is fixed so they grow up free and not as slaves.
What if this hypothetical miracle will never happen? Will you hold off like I do into all eternity and die childless (whereas I'm childfree)?
@Unit1 I don't think its a miracle, but yes if this ends in total abolition of slavery i rather spare my children that existance because it would not be something i'd want to life in myself. Luckily the trend currently is one of a crossroads, where people are waking up to what is going on and willing to fight to remain free. You see it in the US to some degree, You see it in the UK and you especially see it in hong kong. So i assume ill get kids this lifetime (and i'd love to), but i do want to be certain first.
"i rather spare my children that existance because it would not be something i'd want to life in myself."Ditto right on that!
Wars and deseases actually cause more children to get born, as to compensate for likely early loss of life. Wouldn't you argee that higher testosterone men are more likely to die in a war?Testosterone also has little to do with birthrates. Rates of sex have only gone up a little, while birthrates have plumetted over the years.
You didn't pick up my sarcasm in my reply, did you?
What part of the post was sarcastic? It looks like a typical GaG reply. Have a look at poe's law :P
Kids are way too spoiled though. What do they really need?
Being raised as good human beings
All that really costs is time and effort. Rich people generally have less of those to spend on their children.
I didn't say we need to be rich to create fine human beings. I said when we have kids, we feel like giving them at least a good foundation which became really expensive these days
Well housing costs have been skyrocketing yea. It's nearly impossible to afford a house on a middle income in many major cities. But then again you don't necessarily have to live in a major city. Cost of living varies widely by area. Sucks when the rich rig the system and ship half the economy overseas. I'd revolt but not alone, people r too docile these days. I hate it.
This is factually incorrect. For the past 100 years incomes have been rising along with population. It’s not an either or.
I can already see cracks in the mantle
If you love kids so much why don’t you go adopt some?
@Cherokeehp I want my own kids thanks. That is normal biological desire.
Isn’t that kind of selfish that you complain about the declining birth rate, but you won’t do anything to help the already existing children on this earth who need loving parents?
@Cherokeehp Adopting doesn't help the declining birthrate. *facepalm*Also, it is selfish to not do a basic thing that everyone should be doing. We could also say you are selfish because you don't work 80 hours a week and give all your money to the poor. That is just a ridiculous dumb standard. Just as is adoption. Its great if you do it but come on, that will never be a typical activity of the average person. It is above and beyond. We certainly can expect people to have children though.
I just assumed you were worried about the birth rate cause you loved children. I’m not even sure why anyone even cares about the declining birth rate. There are billions of people on this earth and we’re fucking this planet up, and the cost of living and raising children is expensive as hell.
@Cherokeehp I don't know why everyone says kids are so expensive. Maybe y'all just work at walmart or expect to be broke. Some people actually have real jobs and can easily afford children.
Some people have real jobs and still struggle to raise their children. And it’s not just about keeping children alive, it’s about giving them a good quality of life. Why would anyone want to bring a child into the world if they knew they couldn’t offer it a good life?
@Cherokeehp Well those people are very materialistic. Instead of spending quality time with their children they are off working overtime to get designer brand cribs and whatever hot item is in the latest mommy magazine. Personally I find that disgusting. Strangely the poorest people in the world somehow can afford the most children, while the richest somehow can't. How terrible.
@Cherokeehp I don't think it's selfish. I have a penis and therefore I want my own kids from my own semen thank you very much.
@Robertcw you can adopt one and bring on from your own shit
@Ciel66 Yeah I guess as long as least one is my own genetics I'd have no problem with that. I'd need to be very careful jot to play favorites though so I don't know if I could trust myself to do that.
@Robertcw adoption is not equal to having biological kids. They are unrelated. If i had 10 adopted kids it would not satisfy my desire to have bio kids. And if i had 10 bio kids it wouldn't factor into me adopting at all. If anything it would make me more likely to adopt.
oof sounds like somebody is single
and bitter :*(
Lol, dude, no! I'm not just happily in a partnership, I get so much sex without consequence it's awesome. You, on the other hand, why did that thought come to mind?I often find when I talk about me being childfree, it tends to offend people who think they shouldn't be childfree, but want to be.
You sound bitter calling people with kids "breeding idiots" and no I dont have any kids. But I dont think people that do are idiots. I just don't harbor any animosity towards them. Why are they idiots exactly?
Well, I'm not calling parents "breeding idiots".I'm calling breeding idiots "breeding idiots".You don't have children. Why are you getting offended on behalf of those who do?I don't harbour animosity towards breeding idiots, in fact, I feel pity for them.Who would knowingly bring children into this world if they couldn't handle to have them? A child has no choice. A procreator does. Not everyone who pops out a child ends up a real parent.
oh i get it now, you are mad at your parents. sorry about your childhood. Good luck, hope you get through your issues.
DanielYou are pathetic
Lol, I'm not mad at my parents. I'm aware of them. Why do you read anger in what I wrote? They're just words - by their nature, they are toneless. You, the human element, bring emotion into it.Are you angry with your parents, Daniel? What did they do?
Please dont. Judging by what youve already typed i think you're having a stroke and should probably go to the hospital.
@something_memorable you lie to yourself
is English your second language perchance?
Yeah, dating and hook-up websites are going out of business, especially targeted at your age range.
And the job competitionAnd the poverty countAnd the waste productionAnd fewer people to spread the money in the civilization
Yes its a win win situation
Not for the government and all the bankers :> :> :> muahahaha! It's about time!
Standards of living have been rising for the vast majority of the world for the past ~100 years.
And the environment is going to shit, job wages are stagnant and there’s war everywhere.
Air quality is better (in the rich world at least) along with water quality. Wages aren’t stagnant in the US (not sure about other parts of the world). Violent death is less common than it used to be.
Have you not heard of flint Michigan? Go to anywhere in the USA and ask them “hey do you guys trust the tap water to be clean?” Yeah they kinda are. Minimum wage is $7.25 per hour on a 40 hour work week. With the cost of living rising, college and medical care costs rising, yeah the disparity is clear. Less common? Haven’t seen the dozens of mass shootings then.
I worked in water purification and we had to study flint, that was due to underbudgeting by the city who was warned of the problem before it happened. The plant needed to be replaced, there wasn't money in the budget, even coagulents and chlorine became too expensive, pipes weren't replaced when they expired. That's corruption, not bad water. The process works, and has since like 1918, it hasn't changed too much since then, the new orleans plant still has some parts you find with the iron cross from the 1900s after WWI and before WWII
Your answer is dumb
@ZeussLightningBolt Well, no, it isn't, because it isn't compromised by conspiracy-theory nonsense and lying like many of your posts are.
Yeah, that's why I'm an influencer and you're not
Lol oh honey... you're so fucking dumb.Blocking someone who disagrees with you means you're stupid. ↗Can someone do me a favor and let @ZeussLightningBolt know how cripplingly stupid he is? Thanks.
No, he's right, this a really REALLY stupid answer.data.worldbank.org/indicator/SP.DYN.TFRT.INThey're declining for ALMOST every country, the only exceptions would be countries like Poland (which is still below replacement level). She's talking about the overall trend, this is a stupid and pointless reply.
@Thatsamazing you got owned man. xD
@Robertcw Um... apparently you're illiterate.
The data currently suggests that population will level off around 10 billion.
@goldcoast We will send people to Mars to work on the Muskian penal colonies.
