What his argument is: government programs are ineffective and elected officials rely too frequently on certain talking points to garnish votes (e. g., governments in North American and European societies encourage natives not to reproduce to protect the environment before subsequently claiming we need immigration from, essentially, the third world to fill job vacancies).
Glad I didn’t watch it. Just reading that gave me a headache.I wouldn’t vote for anybody who told me I should or shouldn’t have a kid. That’s my choice. And my husband’s.Besides, this guy is French and I guess Hungarian. What does he care about the population of Ireland?
He runs a philosophy show, that and he's half Irish. half German (I assume I heard his comments about his ancestry right anyway). He put out thousands of hours worth of footage about philosophy online.
But Molyneux is a French name. I guess he could be Alsatian...Anyway. I don’t want anyone telling me how many kids I can have.Ireland is a big island, most of it’s pretty rural and New York City has 10 million people who manage to live together in an area much smaller than Ireland without killing each other. I think 2040 will pass uneventfully for the Republic of Ireland.
Not sure the guy's background. He put out so many podcasts online that I cannot say definitely one way or another his background. The things he criticizes about government policy and media advertisements discouraging people in Westernized countries, particularly whites, I think is valid (Yes, I have had people tell me not to reproduce in the name of the environment). Molyneux has never argued whether to have kids or how many couples should have. Rather, he questions why media organizations and government organizations alike discourage reproduction among certain demographics while encouraging it for others.
I have never seen anyone in the media or in government doing that. Can you give an example?I know in TV shows unless the pregnant character is underage the other characters are almost always happy for her regardless of her race. Is that what you mean by the media?
The front cover of a Time magazine edition titled "The Child Free Life" shows two white people. National Geographic had a front cover with a caption "The New Face of Europe" at some point during or after the migrant crisis peaked in 2015/2016. Students I went to university with said, with me present, "Why can't old white men just die off?", as if to imply they were negatively affecting the results, outcomes of election campaigns (e. g., Brexit). There were signs plastered all over Kitchener reading "White Lives Don't Matter" with minimal press coverage when other slurs would garnish far greater coverage (e. g., CBC and CTV are two of the bigger news outlets in Canada).
