Is the corona virus Trump's 9/11?

Even though he was warned, Bush seemed to let the attacks happen and as a result "failed upward" to the highest approval rating seen in a while. Sure, he retaliated against the wrong country to finish his dad's oil plundering, and gas prices didn't even go down as a result, but he made liberals cry, and that's what matters. If he hadn't crashed the economy in 2007, a Republican almost certainly would have won in 2008.

Now we have trump who, also, is responsible for a catastrophe because he ignored warnings, and he uses all his press time giving campaign speeches to an audience that would rather be given information. Because campaign speeches are designed to make him look good, of course the low information voters are going to start thinking they approve of the way he is handling the crisis he caused. As long as he pushes the economy back up, regardless of how many more have to involuntarily sacrifice themselves for it, he'll at least have a functioning economy through November. After that, probably not, but by then there will be nothing that can be done about it.

So do you think this is it? Is this the thing that will distract people from the last three years of decisions ranging from greedy to malicious? I think so. The Senate republicans have already given him the permission to cheat as much as he can. And this isn't even really cheating - at least not on purpose.
