It doesn't matter what the reason is. When we tried to keep THEM out, we got called racist!Mexico was deporting Central Americans.People in Yahoo comments are calling them hypocrites
It doesn't matter the reason? Motivation of an action changes the value of the action. Or otherwise killing in self defense should be the same offense than killing someone in a premeditated act. Given the information and article I don't see hypocrisy, as closing frontiers due to sanitary reasons has a different motivation than closing frontiers due to economical reasons. It would be hypocritical if, before coronavirus, they were inforcing anti-immigration policies to other countries and are similar to the ones USA inforce to them. I don't know if they were doing this before coronavirus. The only article you passed was about frontiers during coronavirus and closing because of coronavirus and sanitary reasons, not economical ones.
The government closing the border is one thing. I don't have a problem with that. Civilians physically blocking people from entering their country, even though they try to enter ours is another thing.
People from Mexico are still trying to enter US despite coronavirus? I think you should get stricter if so, given the global situation. It's not the time to immigrate to anywhere. Legally or not. I understand that civilians not wanting anyone to enter and acting by themselves it's because they don't trust their own government and the capacity of it to ensure that messures regarding the virus are applied efficiently. I think as a general Mexicans trust their government even less than other countries do (and that they probably have reasons not to trust it). However I do agree that it's not right for civilians do so, Mexican civilians should stay at home. Also, if they are still trying to enter in the US while they are blocking the frontier, more than hypocritical... is absurd. Completely absurd. However I suppose that the people who inforce frontiers and the people who try to immigrate, despite all beign Mexicans, they must be from very different environment and political ideas.
OH YES!Every day! And from Central America. Lol That's what I've been trying to tell you this whole time
So they can flood across OUR border, but we can't flood across THEIRS?
Actually it too much of a cheap shot in these timesnot sure how you missing my point. This isn't matter of right or wrong simply put we do indeed have much more serious issues vs worrying about mexico. just my 2 cents and it fair enough considering the view from my cheap seats.
LolRead all the Yahoo comments saying the same thing I am. It doesn't matter what the reason is.We wanted to stop crime, they wanna stop Ebola. But it's one thing for the government to inact a policy, it's another for the locals to be blocking the burden
Let's see* what the stupid liberals will say.
It seems like everyone has a place on this earth except Whites. We need to create a whites only state
@Physics-Man Your argument loses its legs when you consider the fact that white people brought African people here on purpose and against their will.
@Jamie05rhsBlacks sold other blacks to other blacks and to us. Whites such as Slavic people were also enslaved and forced to work in the host countries of their oppressors in the middle east for significant periods of time. Jews were also enslaved. Whites have been enslaved plenty of times throughout history. Nearly every group of people have been enslaved by others many times throughout different periods of time. Why is it still okay for them to maintains their demographics and be the majority?Furthermore, how does bringing blacks here mean that this isn't our country? Not a single black, mestizo, Muslim, or native American had anything to do with the drafting and the signing of the declaration of Independence or the Constitution. The founding fathers saw blacks and Indios as subhuman, and would be aghast at what form of Power they now have here. They had the intention of making this nation an extension of Europe; not of Somalia, Haiti, or some Muslim shithole.
@Jamie05rhsHow many Slavs are in office and hold power in the Governments of middle eastern countries? How many Chinese and Koreans have political might in Japan? Next to zero. Why should Blacks hold any significant power in a white built and founded country like America as well? Japan had a period of slavery with the Chinese and Koreans during WWII when their countries were occupied and they were taken to Japan to work in slave labor against their wills; and where their women were used to "comfort" Japanese service members by relieving them of stress? How come Japan isn't forced to open to the masses of Chinese and Koreans? Because they aren't white!
I dont understand why it always a race thing even during a crisis or liberals or whatever dumb shit you need to believe. at the end of the day Mexico does not have the resources "us" americans have. it pretty damn logical to assume that and give the benefit of the doubt.Blacks and im talking American blacks just as much have nowhere to :"fit" in either. Because we would not be able to go back to africa for many other reasons. i would love a country where i didn't have to worry about my color either, But that not what america was suppose to be built on so if you want an all white country than blame the sins of the four fathers and then some i guess.so cry me a river.my comforterwe all going one way and that six feet.none of us geting out of this alive and hey you be able to have a hole just for yourself one day :)stay safe.
@Physics-Man Because it was built on the backs of black people; that's why.
@Jamie05rhs And what's that saying? Blacks can't build a prosperous society without whites pushing them. That's why Africa is still underdeveloped. And the African countries that DID develop a little bit, you know who developed them? CHINESE! Why are black Africans having Chinese build their buildings for them? Why aren't local blacks building them? You know the whites build South Africa completely on their own from scratch, and blacks only began migrating there AFTER whites build that country.I agree with Physics_Man. Minorities, and I'm not just talking about blacks. It can be Muslims, LGBT people, whatever. They should not have any major influence or power if they only make up a small fraction of the population.
@ZeussLightningBoltI have an excellent response to Jamie's statement right now being typed. He's utterly wrong! Blacks had little to do with the success of the United States. Here's a small taste: if they built the wealth of the United States, how come they weren't able to build the wealth of other countries which had longer periods of slavery, where slavery played a more prominent and pivotal role in the development of those countries, and where slavery wasn't abolished much later after the United States?
... where slavery was* abolished much later after the United States?Grammar fix
He said the US was built by black slaves, but in that case, why aren't blacks able to make their own countries prosperous? Why are they hiring Chinese to build their buildings, instead of building them themselves?
Exactly true brother!
@Jamie05rhs That's one of the biggest lies ever told by every bleeding heart lefty looney liberal professor out there!According to the transatlantic slave trade database, less than 2.5% of all black slaves brought over from Africa were in the United States; only 305,000. Whereas Brazil had 5.8 million, the Caribbean had 3.2 million, the Dutch colonies had 550,000, and the Spanish imported 1,000,000. If slave labor made America rich then why didn't it make Brazil, Cuba, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Haiti, and the rest of the Caribbean as developed and wealthy as the United States? These countries had longer periods of slavery, slavery played a more prominent and pivotal role in their development, and slavery was abolished much later in them after the United States.https://www.slavevoyages.org/assessment/estimates If slavery and slave labor were the reason for America's wealth, then why was the South consistently the poorest part of the country generation after generation after generation? And why was the North the most economically prosperous and most developed part of the country?
@Jamie05rhsIn 1840, Southern per capital income was only 3/4 of the national average, and the gap had widened by 1860. And remember, only 1/5 of families had any slaves at all! The South invested so heavily in agriculture that it essentially missed the industrial revolution. Only 1/3 of the US population lived in the South. But at the start of the war, the North held 90% of the country's industrial production. By 1860, there were 321 public schools built in the United States. How many were in the South? Only 30! So where does this argument that Blacks built the wealth of the United States come from? Cotton! And it's true that cotton production, leading up to the Civil War accounted for half of America's exports, but in 1860, exports were just 6% of GNP, which means that cotton exports were just 3%. Does this look like nation-building economic might to you?https://www.jstor.org/stable/1056952?seq=1What about the other European colonies which had a nearly non-existent history of slave labor and which were nearly entirely built by white hands, such as Canada, New Zealand, and Australia? Those countries, GNP wise, on a per capital basis, are just as wealthy as the United States. Furthermore, according to the Human Development Index, they are even more developed than we are! How could this be if they didn't benefit from slavery like we did? Shouldn't they be considerably poorer and less developed than we are? And shouldn't Brazil be far wealthier and more developed than we are? en.m.wikipedia.org/.../List_of_countries_by_Human_Development_Index
@Jamie05rhsTo be clear on this since I didn't mention it and will make more sense, slavery and slave labor was rampant and pervasive in the South, while in there was very little of it going on in the North.Another thing here is that, whatever work blacks slaves did wasn't due to their own accord, they were used like tools by whites like miles and oxen; they were given direction and guidance by them and they listened. Are we really going to start to give credit to tools and not to the people who wielded them? If so, then we might as well start blaming guns for shootings, pencils for failed Math exams, and spoons for obesity. It's only fair right? Moreover, slave labor is still going on to this day in Africa. Why isn't Africa as wealthy or as developed as Asia or Europe? They were able to build the wealth of the United States, but not of any other country or of the muddaland right? Utter nonsense!

You really believe we have more than China?
Yes, I do. I believe it refers to current cases, China had their outbreak well before we did, plenty of people have already died and plenty of people have overcome the illness. Our outbreak started much later, thus resulting in his having more current cases than China.
Your argument makes sense, but I don't trust anything the Chinese government says, especially since they've already been caught altering data
That's entirely fair, and you very well could be right
I probably am
I was just checking out the stats and I think you're right. Unless I'm reading this incorrectly, the USA supposedly has 3 times the amount of deaths than China. And considering China tried saying "this disease was caused by the US," their word isn't very credible. And I think plenty of doctors came out saying they're being dishonest with how impacted they have been.
It IS, but still Imagine the outrage if we blocked THEM
LolBut we're supposed to treat THEM with tax payer money?
Either that or have millions of infected people miles from our border. What do you think we should do?
