BEST RESPONSE RIGHT HERE FOLKS.
Thanks for mho!
They're their there... everything will be ok.
Since you only comment on a grammar mistake online. I guess that means you agree the democrats were playing games and cost people lives.
Hey, you might as well do the translating too. You're quite the stable genius.
Nothing to translate. I am providing facts are name calling and not picking.
Your facts. Lol
What dont you think is a fact? How about throwing out a few more liberal buzz words? Say one about being orange... yawn
Can you be more detailed on your other account?
Still nothing...Here's another one for you. The same day trumps team was getting together. Nancy Pelosi and was passing out souvenir pens. How about the to stick it to the American people...
Oh no! That's horrible! It's even worse than stealing from a charity! "Everyone that wants a test gets a test"! Wow how terrible. My bad. "Mexico will pay for the wall".
There it is! The angry rant of talking points!!!
Hmm sure lol. Thanks I have the blood of baby jesus all over me so I am safe from your mean words! Wahhhh
I get you want to turn this into name calling but I'm not dropping to your level. I provided facts that you won't address so I guess we are done.
What a shame. Read "your" bible. Praise Allah!
This is why it's so pointless to try to use data and facts with the haters
You mean like that one Italian politician who urged people to hug Asian people to "combat" racism? Italy is doing so great right now...
You mean the experts at the world health organization that said there was no human to human transmission
So your saying you'd trust trump over the WHO. You should post that as a question to give people a laugh.
The WHO are licking the boot of China. I’d sooner trust trump or a countries own health officials over the WHO.
If you aren’t in the room with Trump, how can you pretend to know what advice he has been given, who has advised him, if their advice ever conflicted, and what advice he has and has not followed? In addition to that, what credibility do you have in claiming to know his thoughts/reasonings?
@AllThatSweetJazz WHO is funded by china, thats why
@TripleAce I dont know if you’re ignorant of reality or are trying to be funny, but I found this information and think it might be useful to you. WHO contributions totaled around $231 million in 2018. $47 million of that was from the US and nearly $19 million was from China. Japan contributed $23 million.. Just FYI, quick Google searches yield wonderful results.
I don't know what kind of money they're receiving, regardless of any of that, for whatever reason, they're toeing the party line and that's a problem.
The WHO isn’t a part of a particular political party. In fact, it is lead by various people from across the globe who were raised in and believe in various ideological systems. So what on Earth are you talking about?
@AllThatSweetJazz You don't know blah blah but you keep typing and claiming to know. Good work.
@monDieu He obviously just makes stuff up. I bet he "knows the WHO better than anyone". Seems like a familiar trait in something orange.
@77gnat What do you think I claimed to know but didn't? I've been on point dude.
Scroll Down to Read Other Opinions
Hell we could have done better if CHINA didn't lie about it..
I do believe the entire democratic party should pay out of their own pockets for the time and funds wasted on the impeachment..
That's a better question?
It is a better question. What’s the answer?
When has Trump even once ever admitted to a single mistake or error in judgment? He has never done that, ever. He views it as a sign of weakness. Even when he flubs a line in a speech, rather than laughing at himself and saying what I meant to say is..., he tries to make you believe that's exactly what he intended to say even if the word he said doesn't exist. So your scenario could and would never happen... ever. So it's not a better question, it's an irrelevant one.
The reason why it’s important and why you can’t answer it is because it speaks to politics. It shows how questions are meant to show how bad a leader Trump is, expose some mistake he makes. Trump has admitted when he should have done something counter to your point:www.washingtonpost.com/.../
Another time trump admitted a mistake: news.yahoo.com/...orney-general-job-195453314.html
Look, I'm not trying to be mean or snarky but my previous interaction with you where you simply couldn't recognize an obviously sarcastic comment and seemed to believe I was being literal when I referred to a "sarcasm font" tells me you're a simply guy who looks at things simply and that's OK. Many people are like that, but it may not enable you to see things others can see. The Post article titled, "Trump Actually Admitted a Mistake Mostly" tells you he didn't really, honestly, fully admit anything and that they were shocked he even came that close. As far the Yahoo article, Jeff Sessions recused himself from the Mueller investigation because even though he was a Trump loyalist, Sessions recognized the inherent conflict of interest and that recusing himself was what the law required. Trump was pissed because he thought Sessions would do what he was told by Trump even if it was in violation of the law. The irony of you citing this and saying "see, see he said he made a mistake" is pretty stunning given the "mistake" he admitted to was appointing someone who wouldn't break the law for him. He could also admit a mistake if he said he regrets not covering up his hush money payments to a porn star better so it couldn't have been found out but admitting you made a mistake cause you didn't do something illegal effectively enough to avoid being found out or because you hired someone who refused to break the law for you is not really in the spirit of what is meant by accepting responsibility and admitting you made a mistake. Most people would get that. It appears you're not one of them.
But to your question since you seem intent on getting an answer, people, in general respect others who are man or woman enough to admit they made a mistake. I can't crawl into Biden's head but if I were him, I would focus strictly on Trump's incredible mishandling of this whole crisis from start to finish. All the evidence, Trump's quotes saying it will go away in April like a miracle, the mishandling of the national stockpile, his picking fights with governors and saying he wouldn't help a state if its governor wouldn't kiss his ass, and on and on, is so overwhelming, so undeniable since all this was captured by news cameras that I wouldn't focus on the apologies at all even if it is his admitting he could have done better. You do that and you risk people having sympathy for him cause he showed he was "human". Instead you focus just on his mistakes, the misjudgments, the misstatements, the petty comments and picking fights with governors and the news media, the silly comment where he implies he knows a lot about immunology cause his uncle was a professor at M. I,. T. and you show him exactly for what he is, an incompetent, ignorant leader who thinks he knows more than anyone else, who disbanded the pandemic crisis team last year, who is in way over his head and whose inactions probably contributed to many deaths that could have been prevented. You show he's a stunningly incompetent president who's not fit to lead 4 more years. So no, I don't believe Biden would have used those admissions had Trump made them, against him. He didn't need to, That's my view. You may choose to disagree.
I appreciate the time and detail you provided in answering me and honestly don’t see it too often on this site so I want to begin by thanking you and encouraging you to continue in mindful thought. Allow me to follow up and if I miss something feel free to ask me and I will answer.1. This original question was an attempt to bait, not a real question. I get it, it’s politics and often people not only have strong opinions but also choose to employ strategic games in order to make a point and try to persuade people to change their mind. Therefore because I see the initial question as a game I choose to initially respond as a game.. many times this means I put on my smartass hat and choose to respond in an overly literal fashion. It’s choosing to not debate based on the rules they expect and rather in a way make a farce of their attempts at a real political discussion.2. I understand sarcasm. As mentioned in #1 I often default to a smartass mode when people are answering in a sarcastic way. Sometimes I do this because I am curious to see how they react. Other times I do it to embarrass them because if they keep reacting with emotion and I poke them with logic others will read the discussion and see how ridiculous that person sounds. As in answering questions about my personal weakness before, I admit I have a smartass personality at times and it’s entertaining to me to poke someone who gets emotional for likely little reason. So I’m ok with your option of me thinking simply.. in those cases I am demonstrating quite simple thought because I’m not choosing to actually engage in a real political discussion so I agree it’s very simple to act the way I do in those cases.. just like the sarcasm I used with the sarcastic font example you mentioned.3. I don’t like Trump. I have been very consistent in my criticism of Trump over the years and believe he’s a terrible person and terrible role model. I can separate my feelings of him as a person who mostly doesn't
Understand how to be humble with his ability to lead the US as president. I think he’s able and has proven to be a solid president and an effective leader while having obvious character flaws. I know that no president is a perfect person and all have flaws. And I also believe in the government structure and balance of powers in the US and if just one person could cause destruction of the US as many people fear it’s not an issue of the individual but we should look at that balance of power.4. I believe political opponents of Trump are preparing a case out of Covid to cause people to not vote for Trump in November. That’s their job actually. In politics people are paid money and make careers to win elections. So supporters and people on Biden’s staff are trying many angles to discredit, microanalyze, and plant doubt into voters minds that Trump failed in his management of the Covid crisis. They have some valid points based on some opinions Trump has said and some lies again misquoting what has been said. Personally I hope and pray Trump leads our government in the best possible way to save lives in the US. I would feel the exact same way if Hillary was currently the president. Human lives rise about political games.
#5 If Trump did come tomorrow and admit to 10 mistakes he and his team made regarding the Covid crisis I believe Biden would use that as political capital. So I see what you mean by thinking Biden wouldn’t need to use those admissions, but I can see I tv spot being made focused on trump making mistakes and highlighting that speech. It would be breaking news, the press would report it as Trump admitting failure to lead the nation, and it would be a question rehashed in every presidential debate. More than that if he admits to mistakes he likely would be brought up on charges because it cost human lives. He would be inviting so many law suits from people who died and say he was responsible for their loved ones dying. Trump would end up in jail along with much of his team.
And I will likewise tell you I appreciate your response as well. I don't share your view that he's been a solid president or an effective leader. A great leader doesn't seek to take credit for anything good that happens whether he was responsible for it or not and doesn't pass the buck and say 'No, I won't take responsibility for that" when anything bad happens. I think Trump is a stunningly incompetent president who has done a horrible job both in international relations as well as domestically, weakening our alliances with our closest allies and emboldening and flattering a number of the world's worst would be dictators who want to suffocate the press and supress democracy in their countries. That he was literally laughed at by the General Assembly of the United Nations when he started his Trump rally style bragging about how great he was speaks volumes of how the world views him. He inherited a strong, growing economy from Obama and has somehow convinced his base that he rescued it from impending doom despite no evidence of that. In fairness, he hasn't screwed it up and he realizes this is one of the few actual accomplishments he can run on so the virus blowing all that up has caused him to panic and be inconsistent in his messaging and not rational in his managing of the crisis which I believe has caused unnecessary deaths. He would have moved forward towards opening up the country on Easter to benefit the economic numbers if last weekend Dr. Fauci had not finally gotten him to see the incredible amount of deaths that would have caused. He has proven again and again he cares about nothing but himself and how things make him look and will banish even the most apolitical and unbiased career civil servants if he perceives they haven't been "loyal" enough.
I just think he is one of the worst, most vile human beings I've ever seen and I'm embarrassed that he represents us on the world stage. Having said that, I share your view of wanting him to handle this crisis well and be successful cause it benefits us all and prevents people from dying. I just simply don't think he has the ability or wisdom to do so.I unlike you, don't believe the original question was designed as bait. This is literally an excuse created and surfaced by Republicans to explain his poor handling of this. Trump when asked about this in a news conference even said, yeah it might have. To me it's ridiculous on so many levels which I explain if you want to read my original answer to this question (in addition to the responses I have written to you). So why is baiting to ask whether people here are buying it? Will the Democrats try to use this against him? Absolutely. It's their job. But they don't have to distort anything. Just show the clips of his saying all this crazy stuff. Just show his inconsistencies and bad judgment and the poor results. The Republicans will try to do the same thing. You can already see it with right wing media types and party members starting to float as trial balloons various theories blaming the Democrats, the Governors for not being prepared enough, the press for creating unnecessary alarm, China and even the CDC itself for Christ sakes. It's poltics of course. We'll see in November (hopefully) who the public believes and trusts more.
It’s baiting because the asker posted a republican talking point and then hinted he thinks it’s a lame excuse. A more balanced question would have been something along the lines of : Do you believe Trump has devoted all needed effort to the Covid crisis or is there a reason for anything to distract his efforts since the crisis began.Sounds like we will agree to disagree but I do side with you that Trumps not a good person and I was actually hopeful he would have lost his position in the impeachment because that would have allowed Pence to step up and lead our nation.
Also FYI I have become biased over my 2 years of using GaG towards users who post anonymously. While I can see and I do support the anonymous option for certain questions, I don’t see a valid reason why a person would want to ask that main question anonymously. So it creates doubt they really wanted a legit answer and leads me to believe they were baiting others. When posting anonymously, they can’t be held accountable in future political discussions.
70-75% of the people who post questions even the most innocuous ones, post anonymously so I can't hold it against one person or believe it reflects negatively on them. But it is ridiculous. I would be happy if they did not allow posting anonymously at all. We'll have to disagree about whether it's baiting. I think posters can say what someone else said and ask if people agree even if they include a line or two which speaks to what their view is. Doing so may inject some level of bias but it certainly does not mean it's baiting. It's not their fault it's a ridiculous excuse. I don't think they are required to scrub it and translate it into something completely innocuous and something different than what they really are asking to avoid being viewed as baiting. Had he asked the question "Another ridiculous excuse by the right for Trump's incompetence. Are you insulted they think people are stupid enough to believe this bullshit?", I would agree that that question is baiting but certainly not the question he asked.
No. We would all die instantly from a heart attack if trump ever admitted being wrong about ONE SINGLE THING.
Why does the information become less valid if it comes from an anonymous source on Gag? I answered a question yesterday anonymously and some dude agreed with most of it but had a heart attack because I posted it anonymously. What's also odd this guy here told me a few times he is not a huge trump supporter yet every time I see him he's telling others what a solid job or even great job trump is doing. How odd.
The fact that you were able to track how that guy answers other questions is the point about anonymous postings. Because someone can’t be held accountable to their opinions over multiple posts if they post anonymously. I feel like anon is suitable for a fringe topic like a sexual kink or an opinion that could affect someone’s family or job. But most postings on GaG I feel someone should use their username so others can see their opinions over multiple questions.
I don't need stalkers and will use the site the way I want to.
That’s up to you. I answered your question the best way I knew how. These are my reasons for seeing some anon postings they way I do.
Care less about the message and more about the message. Unless you trump worshipers plan on killing others that don't, being anonymous should suffice.
Now I am confused. Who worships Trump and wants to kills others?
For someone that doesn't support trump that much I find it odd that you dedicate your whole life defending such a disgusting person.
And trump admitting Sessions was a mistake was a lie. He assumed Sessions would help him with amoral and possibly criminal behavior so he either left or was forced out. Lying about it afterwards doesn't make trumpy a hero. Why not just grow up or get a hobby?
@77gnat. As you stopped answering my questions, I assume this discussion is over. Onto more topics, cheers.
Find a better way to use your time. Jesus
But it IS the China virus. Why call it something else? Do you eat Mexican food? Nevada you ever heard of German engineering? How about Swiss cheese? So calling the China virus anything else is dishonest af.
So what would you call the China virus?@isjr16
Facts trump didn’t give a damn until he realized the economy could collapse because of this
Funny you say that because Trump was actually the first one who attempted to shut down our borders from China and the democrats declined saying it was racist lol
When was this and send me a credible link that’s not from Fox News
@KC1545 It was mentioned several times in the press briefings and well known. Go find your own source.
The fact that you can’t provide me a link makes me not want to believe you so 🤷🏻♀️
@KC1545 Then don’t believe me. I have no desire to go on google on my slow internet right now. It’s been well known and mentioned a multitude of times. Anyone who’s been keeping up with the politics on this already knows this. Google it yourself and you’ll see.
@KC1545 Also, the economy is very important. 10 million Americans are unemployed. Peoples 401ks and IRAs have lost a decade of value. Major companies are on the verge of going out of business. Our economy is consumer based and if she shut it down for months at a time, and have the federal reserve print trillions of more dollars causing mass inflation, then this economic bubble that we’ve built up will pop and it’s will be far more devastating than what we saw in the Great Recession. It will cause a global depression which will in return cause more destruction than Covid-19. I don’t agree with everything Trump is doing, but everyone seems to minimize the economy as if it’s not important. Millions starved during the Great Depression. An economic collapse because.002% of the US population is being taken out isn’t a wise decision.
@KC1545 The liberal media is hyping this virus up as much as they can, so that they can sit there and point fingers by putting people’s deaths on Trump which is sick twisted and wrong. I can’t stand what they’re doing. I mean the VP of CNN literally admitted in a recording that they completely Made up the Russia hoax in 2016 to make trump look bad. Yet, we still trust the democrats in the media? Come on. Look at the facts and the statistics and use your head.
They criticized him on his travel ban to prevent this mess from getting bigger. They criticize him for mentioning the devastating effects this has on the atheist consumer based economy in the world. They are literally dedicated to damaging Trump in any possible way and will do anything including causing mass panic and hysteria to do it.
Ok so the sooner this gets resolved the sooner we can get back to our normal lives. As someone who is in the middle when it comes to politics I will say that this situation is tough. If he opens everything up again more people will get sick and either die or suffer from the effects of it for the rest of their life. If he shuts everything down then yes the economy will suffer but at least the cases will start dropping. This disease shouldn’t be downplayed. A lot of people don’t know if they have underlying issues and if you get it you’ll die.
This virus is serious. No one is safe from. People who recover from it have a reduced lung capacity and for someone that already has a reduced lung capacity I’d rather not catch it
@kc1545- get a clue, pull your head. Out of your ass and ask anyone. Everyone knows the simple facts. On Jan. 31; trump banned travel from China. Biden and pelosi mocked him calling the usual xenophobia. A week later, pelosiwas openly encouraging everyone to come to San Francisco’s Chinatown outdoor celebration. They came by the thousands. Pelosi and the Dems are lying through their teeth about Trump. Al you need to do is not be a stupidfuck and look at any news program. #mostuninformed
You of all, people deserve to suffer. Acting like an epically ignorant know nothing is why. You are sick because of pelosi and the democrats. That’s a fact.
The democrats downplayed it from the start. They made this much worse, for the reason I listed above.
1. Your very immature for a 40 year old. 2. I just went on politifact. com and they said that false. Biden calling trump xenophobic because of the travel ban is false. Have a good day man child🙄 at least Tony is nicer
She’s 19 years old man. Even being in the Marine Corps at 19 years old, I was completely ignorant when it came to economics and politics. She doesn’t deserve to suffer at all. She has just as much of a right to have an opinion as you and I. If she wants to act like she knows everything, it’s for sure annoying, but to say she deserves to suffer? No. I rather educate younger minds and open them up so that they can see things with more clarity, and then have them formulate their own opinion.
He shouldn’t call it Chinese virus because the virus affects everyone. If it stayed in China then it is a Chinese virus. Not only that but by calling it Chinese virus causes Chinese Americans to be targeted. Trump knows words has power so by saying that it is attacking the Chinese which is not their fault. Finally the economy is a consumer based system but the media started to report on the virus mid Jan. The Federal gov had inform on the virus heading to America and acted to slow cause trump just like many republicans down played it. Once Wall st close trump acted cause he knew if he don’t act it would cost him the election. Not only that but that republicans would lose seats in the house and senate plus he would be able to say he made America great again because the economy tanked. His reputation would be ruin cause Obama brought us out of the recession and now the country is back in recession cause gov acted to slowly. Trump says he is a businessman don’t he know what happens in other countries affect America’s economy
No, he's doing the worst out of any world leader. It's not political posturing when the country is literally collapsing, it's criticism. They need to work together, but that doesn't mean they should do whatever Trump wants. Trump spent trillions bailing out the companies and the trying to save the stock market, he failed. Now the republicans are saying they are done spending, which means that the 1200 for each American is the most you'll get. Thousands of Americans will go homeless because of this crisis, because the government isn't doing enough to protect them. The whitehouse estimared to have 100,000 people die to coronavirus as a minimum.time.com/.../
What the left fail to understand is the government do not have endless amounts of cash to be spending - a trillion dollar check every 2 weeks. It’s right to bail out companies because they hire thousands of Americans. The left want to spend time trying politicize their crisis to try and win in November - it’s wrong
Oh please the usa just did a 4.5 trillion dollar bailout for massive corporations, and Trump gets to decide who gets the money with no strings attached, it doesn't have to be paid back. Before that, Trump injected 2 trillion dollars into the stock market.Trust me, the government has endless amounts of cash, they just take loans from china whenever they need to bailout some companies. The government needs to give some of that money to the people, a trillion dollars every 2 weeks is absolutely ridiculous and you can't be serious about that... unless you mean a trillion dollar cheque to the rich corporations every single week, because they're getting that. Meanwhile Americans only get 1200 per person, as a one time payment. 100,000 is the minimum estimated death count for the USA, millions more will be unemployed, uninsured, and most of them will be homeless because they already live paycheque to paycheque. Even with Trumps bailouts almost a million people have lost their jobs, so clearly its ineffective. Further, Trump's bailouts come with no strings attached and he personally gets to choose who to give it to. Which means he can choose to only give bailouts to companies he likes, friends of his.As for the left politicizing it, honestly some people are. Nancy Pelosi should be hung. However many Democrats just want to ensure that the people make it out of this crisis too, because sure the business will get through this, but this will destroy the middle and lower class. People can't afford the testing or treatment, people are going bankrupt, people can't afford their rent, and they can't work because of the pandemic. Honestly I think 100,000 deaths is a low estimate for the USA, and honestly I think there will be tens of millions of jobs lost, a huge percentage of the population will lose insurance, and millions will become homeless because they can't pay their rent. The increase in homelessness will also help the virus spread.
Lol that is funny. The tax breaks for the rich really helped lower the deficit and national debt huh? What kind of incompetent president can he in such a strong economy, cut the CDC spending. FDA spending, EPA spending and tons of other "big government" entities and not come close to balancing the budget? And sure anti government voters must be so pleased that the CDC was cut by 2/3 and we still were printing more money like it was a Monopoly game. Presidents pick one or the other. They pick a little of both maybe but this is the first president to destroy the economy long term and short term while eliminating essential services.
Smells like BS to me. China Town, maybe, the Americans there aren't any more likely to have it than anyone else. The rest is crap.
Hmm well at least trump testified and didn't play any golf in February. Ahem. Cough cough.
"The leftist bullshit media called him racist for doing it"I'm sure you can come up with at least a couple of links to, say, cnn or msnbc, to back that up?
It wasn't Mexicans who were bringing in this virus. It was wealthy people coming from Europe.
If, by "We all knew nothing would come of it", you mean we all knew the Republican Senate would ignore all the evidence, yes. He's still been impeached, just not removed from office. The CDC doctor in China was fired last July, before that all kicked off.
I can see how not having any evidence makes it look like they’re ignoring evidence. Not only that, he wasn’t impeached over any statutory crime, so you can’t expect to convict someone when they’re not even on trial for a crime. The impeachment was a farce from the very start. So what if he was impeached? That doesn’t mean anything either. We all knew the impeachment would succeed and that the conviction wouldn’t, and all of it have fuck all to do with any evidence, because there was none. Before all the corona business took off, Trump was working toward getting the impeachment expunged. So as long as we don’t all die, even the impeachment isn’t going to stick in the end. It was just deranged “orange man bad” hysteria which backfired for the Democrats at every corner.
What on earth do you mean by "getting the impeachment expunged"? There's no such thing.
Free golf carts for every American!
@goaded There hasn't been such a thing before, no, but impeachment is a resolution of the house so it can also be reversed though a resolution of the house. The closest thing to untouchable is the constitution and you can make amendments to that. It can be done. We would all still say Trump got impeached of course, but in the eyes of the law it would be undone and we could all also say that while he got impeached, it also got reversed which would reflect badly on all those in the house who voted yes to impeach and any who supported it, that's really the only point. But in regard to the constitution, what if an impeachment was ruled to be unconstitutional? Would it have a shot of being rescinded then? The answer is quite obviously yes. I don't think it was 100% going to happen, but the possibility was real. That said, it doesn't even matter. Trump gets impeached, then not convicted, and everyone gets on with their lives, it just didn't matter (other than to give Trump a massive boost in approval rating). Again, the only point to pursing a reversal of the resolution is simply because he can, and it would be another loss of the Democrats and to stick it to Pelosi and her "impeachment is forever" nonsense, that's all. I suppose that could well be worthwhile though. Being able to take away the this insubstantial one-up they got on Trump would be rather upsetting for the Trump deranged Democrats.
The courts don't have any jurisdiction over impeachment, so who would rule it unconstitutional, which it clearly wasn't.
@goaded The have jurisdiction over what is unconstitutional. So you think the house can impeach whomever it wants ("forever")? Obviously there are checks and balances in there to prevent the abuse of power by the government -- which is the essence of the constitution. And funnily enough, that's exactly why saying it's "clearly" not unconstitutional is not true, it's only "clearly" if that what you want to see.In reality, the constitution "clearly" states that only "high crimes and misdemeanors" can warrant and impeachment. I'm sure that the leftist media didn't make this clear, but Trump wasn't impeached on any statutory crimes. So at the very least there is a legitimate argument to be had over whether it was constitutional. What should have happened was that the media should write some smears over how Trump handled the call to Ukraine like opponents normally would for every president after every decision ever, and that should have been it, basically the same thing for every president ever. But no, instead there's this shitshow of an impeachment which had no statutory crimes on the table.
Oh, God, we've been over and over this for months. Yes, the House can impeach whomever it wants, they are in complete control of impeachment. The Senate is in complete control of the trial, which is why Trump got off without all that troublesome testimony under oath from witnesses who wouldn't have exonerated him. The courts have practically nothing to say in the matter. The phrase "high crimes and misdemeanors" has centuries of precedent behind it, and did when the constitution was written by people including a good number of British lawyers.I expect you claim that there was no Russian interference because the Mueller report didn't find evidence of wilful collaboration (but plenty of interference and obstruction of justice).
@goaded “Yes, the House can impeach whomever it wants”Literally anyone for whatever reason they like?“they are in complete control of impeachment.”I wonder if that means they can overturn it too. HMMMMM.“Trump got off without all that troublesome testimony under oath from witnesses who wouldn't have exonerated him.”Look, I think everything you just said there and an absolutely nonsensical statement, this is just floundering garbage. The bottom line is that I think the “evidence” is BS and you don’t and its sort of beside then point so let’s not get into that lengthy and ridiculous conversation. Let’s focus on the precursor to impeachment.“The phrase "high crimes and misdemeanors" has centuries of precedent behind it, and did when the constitution was written by people including a good number of British lawyers.”Okay and it’s debatable if the articles for this impeachment meet that. That’s the thing.“I expect you claim that there was no Russian interference because the Mueller report didn't find evidence of wilful collaboration”Personally, I assume everyone is trying to influence every election ever, we all have interests. But in more formal terms, there’s no good evidence they did. I’m not saying they did or didn’t, but we can’t demonstrate it. So, there’s the counter-question: Would you claim there *definitely was* collaboration between Trump and Russia, even though Mueller reported nothing that could conclusively say that?
They wouldn't get the votes to impeach for wearing a tan suit or asking for the wrong kind of mustard; it would have to be behaviour inappropriate to the office. Like asking a foreign power for assistance in taking down a political enemy with no evidence that enemy did anything wrong, let alone illegal.I'm sure you'd be fine with Clinton's impeachment being overturned, right? No, they can't do that.If there were witnesses who could honestly say he didn't do what he was accused, they would have been heard from. On an unrelated note, it seems publication of Bolton's book has been delayed until May..."... it’s debatable if the articles for this impeachment meet [centuries of precedent behind "high crimes and misdemeanors"]."They did.Me: “I expect you claim that there was no Russian interference because the Mueller report didn't find evidence of wilful collaboration”So, I was 100% correct. Surprise."... there’s no good evidence they did. I’m not saying they did or didn’t, but we can’t demonstrate it."There was enough to indict 25 Russians, and three Russian entities for it. en.wikipedia.org/.../Special_Counsel_investigation_(2017%E2%80%932019)"So, there’s the counter-question: Would you claim there *definitely was* collaboration between Trump and Russia..."Nice try, but that's not the counter question. There definitely was illegal interference and there was definitely obstruction of justice by the Trump people. What's the latest on Stone?
@goaded “it would have to be behaviour inappropriate to the office.”Oh, so they CAN’T impeach whomever they want? Well that tune changed quickly.“Like asking a foreign power for assistance in taking down a political enemy with no evidence that enemy did anything wrong, let alone illegal.”Lol. The evidence points the finger at joe and hunter being worth of investigation and there is no evidence for “asking a foreign power for assistance in taking down a political enemy”.But like I said, lets just avoid this topic because obviously I think you’re insane and we’re just going to disagree on everything, but most importantly because it’s already over.“I'm sure you'd be fine with Clinton's impeachment being overturned, right?”If there was a good case for it, sure. But again, I don’t think it really changes anything now. So sure, go nuts, have at it. I’m curious to see how the public reacts.“No, they can't do that.”So they have “complete power over impeachment” and can “impeach whomever it wants” …“forever”, but they also don’t have “complete power over impeachment” and can’t reverse a resolution? Okay buddy, wow, just an amazing thing to believe.“If there were witnesses who could honestly say he didn't do what he was accused, they would have been heard from.”*He* doesn’t need witnesses, they need to prove he did something, and if they had witnesses that could honestly say he did do what he was accused of then the whole thing wouldn’t have flopped.“They did.”Debatable.“So, I was 100% correct”Nope, read the actual words I said.
“There was enough to indict 25 Russians, and three Russian entities for it.”Wow, dude, do work in leftist news media because that was a sly twist of words. Nice.I start to become suspicious of your intellectual honesty when you will try to rewrite what I said. Actually no ’25 Russians and 3 Russian’ entities were NOT indicted for *it*. Do you remember what I was talking about? Do you remember the *it* I was referring to? *Collusion*.Let me pull a quote from the source you provided: "[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities."This is just amazing. You need to stop and take a moment to introspect dude.If you’re going to be nuts like this then how are we supposed to even talk? I’m done with this.“Nice try, but that's not the counter question.”That’s MY counter question and saying “There definitely was illegal interference and there was definitely obstruction of justice by the Trump people” does not answer it. It shouldn’t be hard to just answer the question directly like I did for your questions. You’re weaseling. Now I’m definitely done with this. Just stop and reflect for a moment okay. Maybe just *muse the remote possibility* that you maybe, *just maybe* …be wrong on this one, and see where it takes you.
"Oh, so they CAN’T impeach whomever they want? Well that tune changed quickly."Well, they can't impeach me, either, because I'm not a judge or president. I assumed that was understood.I can have complete power over breaking an egg, too, but I can't un-break it."“So, I was 100% correct”Nope, read the actual words I said."Me: “I expect you claim that there was no Russian interference because the Mueller report didn't find evidence of wilful collaboration”You: "But in more formal terms, there’s no good evidence they did. I’m not saying they did or didn’t, but we can’t demonstrate it."Except they did demonstrate it to the satisfaction of the investigator and a grand jury.
"Well, they can't impeach me, either, because I'm not a judge or president."Annnnd can they impeach such a person for wearing bell-bottoms? It's almost like there's more restrictions, than "anyone they want" even within the assumptions you would like to omit.@goaded Really? Eggs are the metaphor you when with?I can take a step forward and I can take a step back."Except they did demonstrate it to the satisfaction of the investigator and a grand jury. "Literally no. Let's read that quote again."[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities."
I missed one of your messages, the one where you proved you didn't read my original statement, which was:"I expect you claim that there was no *Russian interference* because the Mueller report didn't find evidence of wilful collaboration (but plenty of interference and obstruction of justice)." (Emphasis added.)And that's exactly what you've done. Lack of evidence of collusion does not negate the fact that there was illegal interference, for which lots of Russians got indicted. You're basically arguing OJ's wife was never murdered. If they had the votes, I expect they could impeach a president for wearing bell-bottoms (or a tan suit), in the same way the Senate could choose to hold a trial without prosecution witnesses. They would then be held to account by the voters at the next election.
@goaded One of the first things I said was that I assume everyone is meddling. Finding Russian's that meddled one this occasion is only because they bothered to have a closer look, and in no way surprises or impresses me. I would 100% believe that entities from multiple countries interfered in every single US presidential election in the last century.S when you say that a "lack of evidence of collusion does not negate the fact that there was illegal interference." Well firstly what it does negate is a great deal of reasonable doubt (to put it politely) that there was collusion with the Trump campaign and that's really the only thing relevant which would have been able to delineate between that election and any other. There was equal evidence that *you* were colluding with Russia, and oh look 25 Russian were indicted, I guess you're guilty too."You're basically arguing OJ's wife was never murdered."I admit, these equivalences you draw are amusing, albeit inapt. No, more like OJ's wife was murdered and you pointed the finger at Donald Trump. lol"I expect they could impeach a president for wearing bell-bottoms"Okay, sure, *please* I beg you, say that to a few lawyers to get an authoritative opinion on that and let me know how it goes.Always a pleasure goaded.I'm muting now.I'm sure we'll do this again in a couple months as usual over some other controversial topic. We'll hear that Trump colluded with Hitler to create breast cancer or something, and we'll have a jolly good time.
There's meddling, and there's meddling.Countries having news reports that emphasise the best features of the candidate or party they think would be best for their interests is one thing, illegally hacking into the other party's communications and having them published to embarrass them, while keeping barely plausible deniability of collusion, is quite another.
@goaded Lol you've been arguing with this weirdo for months? Hahahahahaha. If trumpy poop said 2+2=5 this guy would be frothing at the mouth typing 11 hours a day insisting that 2+2=5. I'll take a wild guess and say nothing will change his mind even though deep down he knows what an obtuse fool he is.
@77gnat Not me and him, personally, as far as I know, but generally. It's the "never apologise, never explain" system of propaganda from the right.Did you know Trump makes the Secret Service rent golf carts, even at his own resorts? Me, I think they should wait for him at the 19th hole and save the taxpayers money.
@goaded My guess is trumpy was broke in 2015. He drained the swamp by hiring the worst. Thankfully our dear leader with the fake TV show, fake teeth, fake hair and fake skin is genuinely becoming rich while downplaying one of or maybe the biggest pandemic in the history of viruses. More winning!
@77gnat So much winning!
Yeah I thought so, even after the impeachment was over he could of handled it better. Instead he thought he would get packed churches for Easter 🤷♂️
It baffles me every day how there's millions and millions of people who are actually buying his bullshit.
Only as long as you mean voted out of office (or he should have been removed from office by the impeachment trial).
However u wanna take it, brother.
I'm just trying to save you a visit from the authorities. :)

He's the President! It's his job to look at what's going on, and there are thousands of people telling him.
Put yourself in his place. You're the president, you're on trial and have (as you said) a 1000 people telling you the most important issues in each one of their own little worlds. At least he has done more than obama did at 4 months into the H1N1 pandemic.
Oh, another one of them. The Obama administration's reaction was instant. en.wikipedia.org/.../2009_flu_pandemic_in_the_United_States"On April 22, the CDC first activated its Emergency Operations Center (EOC). On April 25, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a public health emergency of international concern. On April 26, a public health emergency was declared in the United States, which was renewed twice. On October 24th, the Obama administration declared a national emergency."Oooh, I just noticed the BS wording of that; the CDC was part of the Obama administration.
And yet, 46,000,000 people in the US got h1n1. And 12,000 died. Good job
Over the course of twelve months. A thousand people a day are dying of COVID-19 in the US, right now (of 300,000 cases so far), over 8,000 so far, in 12 weeks. It will be 2,000 a day by Easter. And, going back a bit, no he's not got 1,000 people telling him stuff, he's got layer upon layer of people filtering out what's important and what only the president can deal with; there's no way he didn't get told this was important early on, and no way he didn't bet American lives on a chance the best case would happen. (15 cases, soon be zero...)And, again, there's the loss of the person in charge of pandemic preparedness in 2018, and the CDC's eyes and ears in China, in 2019. Betting a pandemic wouldn't arise during his term.
Yes, the economy crashed because the politicians were so distracted with trying to fool the people into thinking there is a pandemic going on! Lol
