Most countries are actually doing the opposite, underestimating the death tollhttp://archive.is/aEO3g"Official death tolls for covid-19 may exclude people who died before they could be tested. They also ignore people who succumbed to other causes, perhaps because hospitals had no room to treat them"US government is trying to learn from that mistake nypost.com/.../"Asked whether the numbers could skew data the government is trying to collect, Birx said that would mostly apply more to rural areas where testing isn’t being implemented on a wide scale."The statisticians know that number of autopsies being performed is low due to the danger of infection, together with the covid related deaths they miss, overall it's not an overestimation, more likely still an underestimation.
Yea I talked to a friend last night said they are getting together with his mother in law for Easter I said wtf man you can't do this his excuse was his neighbors got people coming and going all the time. Then we wonder why this whole situation is still so bad. People will not listen.
@Mijopapiii Yup... Was just at the grocery store today and despite the tape on the floor to mark distance, some guy was standing in line like 10 inches from me. Meanwhile the cashier is talking loudly to every single person who walks by about if God says it's your time to go, then it's your time and she refuses to wear a mask and she's gonna be going out after work and blah blah blah. Zero consideration for anyone outside of herself.
Well she will be fired soon enough.
That is not how it works at all. Diseases does not care about the total amount of people in any given country, it spreads equally regardless assuming similar factors.
But the more you have people the more you'll conduct tests and therefore flag more positive cases
You can only flag cases if there are cases to be found.
I suspect this too. I'm pretty sure people are still doing social gathering inside their own homes, inviting groups of people over, and visiting friends and family.
@Flower7 i agree with you.
