What do you think about the Republicans' preferred Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate losing?

Last week, the state of Wisconsin held an election that I think most people believed was crazy. The Democratic governor wanted to do it all by absentee main-in ballots to avoid making people go to the polls in person during the COVID-19 pandemic, but Republicans blocked that idea. The governor then tried to postpone the election until June and the Republicans sued to block that and were granted their wish by the Supreme Court with all of the Republican members of the court (and no one else) voting to force the citizens of Wisconsin to put their lives at risk in order to vote.

Why? Apparently because Republicans believed that many people wouldn't vote and that would favor their preferred candidate in the Wisconsin Supreme Court election.

Well, the results are mostly in now and it seems that the guy the Republicans wanted lost meaning they didn't get what they wanted from all the work they did to make Wisconsin residents show up in person at the polling place during a pandemic if they wanted to vote.

What are your thoughts on this whole thing?
