Ok to really answer your question. We were so cheap and the global economy of gas went down by a percentage%. That % didn't mean much because it was so cheap to begin with.Like 100 minus 1% is 99. Compared to 1 minus 1% is.99. The difference becomes smaller.
Can i ask you the same question i asked coffee with cream? Basically is there a tax with gasoline that goes into the health care system? If we are paying less then 20% for a necessity of filling the tank comparatively and we are struggling still to just fill that tank. We got a lot of problems we need to address.
The taxes going somewhere a proportion probably end up in healthcare but not much
We pay less taxes on it. What is really funny is we get better crude from Canada , and we send them our lessor quality oil. Something to do with trade. Don't that scratch your butt?

We go by litres. I had to calculate what a gallon is. There is roughly 4 1/2 litres in a gallon. Gas in Canada ranges from 50 cents a litre to $1.50 a litre depending where you fill up. In Montreal gas is $1.31 right now, or $5.80 per gallon. In Alberta, where they have more oil than Saudi Arabia, gas is about 53 cents per litre, or $2.38 per gallon. In Whitehorse, Yukon, the gas would have to be trucked in a long way to gas stations from a refinery, and gas is 93 cent a litre, or $4.18 per gallon, cheaper than Montreal. So you're doing okay in the US.
Out of curiosity is there a tax on gasoline that goes into the single payer health care system assuming you're in Canada? I am for a single payer system in America, but i do need to factor this in my arguments.I would imagine car accidents are a big factor to take care of. That's why I'm asking. It's still the equivalent to usa paying there employers for healthcare. Just as invisible in our day to day lives but something to understand.
@NaultD No. Taxes on gasoline are supposed to go into highway infrastructure, roads, bridges, highways and roadway maintenance. We have the second largest country in the world with thousands of roads going off main traffic routes for hundreds of kilometres over rivers and creeks to reach teeny little communities. That takes money.
I gotcha no worries. I made an assumption and when you do, you make an ass out of u and umption. If healthcare was better taking care of across America, we native Americans could have more resources to deal with more pressing issues. Im in Alaska with native corporations and they help in unimaginable ways but so many fall in the cracks. Im just trying to find better ways.
@NaultD Alaska has an interesting system where everyone gets a royalty cheque. So I hear. I wouldn't mind that. :)
Man , that is high, what does Pot go for there?
Taxes and high profits
